Y/N’s Pov
“Hey Gen.” I said. I was nine and had been friends with Gen for so long. Ever since I could remember.

We would hang out most days and helped each other through everything.

I opened the door to Gen’s home to see him sitting on the floor crying.

“Gen?” I questioned, approaching him.

I kneeled down in front of him and hugged him.

“What happened?” I asked.

You gave me a shoulder when I needed it

“Mum left us. And dad’s losing it.” Gen said, crying in my shoulder.

“Hey, it’s going to be okay.” I said.

I had my fair share of loses so I was able to understand at least a little.

“What if it doesn’t. What do I do then?” Gen asked?

“Then you come to me. I’ll be here whenever you need me. Okay.” I said, smiling at him and holding his hand.

Gen nodded, smiling a little too.’

That was when I was nine and he was ten.

We had gone through a lot of things together and I was next to him every step of the way.

When his dad left.

And when he got his corebrick from Guardian Eurus.

You showed me love when I wasn't feeling it

I knew that I had a crush on Gen at least. I didn’t know if I loved him yet.

I was waiting in Gen’s apartment for him to come back.

We were thirteen and he was on Quarton hopefully getting the tenkai dragon so he can accomplish his goal of fixing this planet.

I was definitely worried about him because I didn’t exactly know too much about Quarton and how it worked.

Soon enough Gen came back. He was thankfully not harmed too badly.

“Are you okay?” I asked.

Gen placed his head on my shoulder and wrapped his arms around my waist.

“I couldn’t do it.” Gen said.

I hummed, rubbing his back.

“I remembered everything from mum and dad leaving me, to all the fighting with the tenkai knights. I remembered that Guren went through something similar. Then I remembered you. I knew that you didn’t deserve to live in the world I wanted. You deserve this world.” Gen said, holding me tighter.

I smiled. “You deserve everything Gen. You’ve been through so much and if the best way for you to heal was to fix this world than I don’t mind.” I said, smiling slightly as he pulled me closer to the point where there was no space.

“I don’t want that. I just want a world with you in it.” Gen said and I smiled.

“Now let’s put you to bed. You must be tired with everything that went on. I made food if you want to eat before you sleep.” I said.
