Day 6: Guren X Reader - My Hero

Guren's Pov
The knights and I were faced in an intense battle on Quarton.

Slyger and Granox was sending out what seemed to be all the corrupted army and it really did slow us down.

If we couldn't defeat these corrupted soldiers soon, then we face losing, or worse, losing one of our members.

"Guys! How you faring over there!?" I questioned as loudly as I could.

"Doing pretty well. But some of us are badly injured and may not be able to fight for very long." I heard Lydendor reply.

"Anyone got any fancy ideas?" TK/N asked.

"We could go elemental titan mode?" Tributon suggested.

"Yeah, but you forget that some of us don't even have elemental mode." Venetta said.

"We need to win the battle." Tributon rationalised.

"Yes, and even though, there's still risk of hurting those two. We need to figure out a plan." Dromus mentioned.

"Is it too late to retreat?" Valorn asked.

"No! We can do this." I said.

"Almighty Bravenwolf, retreat may be in order as we may risk losing one of the knights," Beag said.

I heard a laser firing up and I looked towards it.

Once I noticed the direction it was firing in, it had already fired off and was going for TK/N.

"No!" I yelled as I ran towards her.

Y/N's Pov
I heard a laser-firing off and when I noticed the direction it was in, I realised it was coming in my direction.

I didn't have any time to react to it as I accepted my fate.

I heard something clash and once all the dust cleared, I saw Bravenwolf in titan mode, holding his shield out.

"Bravenwolf?" I questioned.

"Are you okay?" Bravenwolf asked.

"Yeah. Thanks." I said.

"Come on. let's finish this fight." Bravenwolf and everyone else went into titan mode.

Venetta and I supported them by taking out any corrupted that tried stopping them and soon enough, they had ended the fight, sending Granox and Slyger into a retreat.

"Thank you knights." Beag started and started complimenting them.

After making sure that everything was in order, we went back home to earth to tend to injuries, if any at all.

We were sitting in our unofficial meeting room as we went over what happened.

"We all survived at least." I said.

"Yeah, with very minor injuries." Beni mentioned.

I looked towards Guren and saw that he flinched when his arm brushed against the couch.

I approached him and held my hand out.

Guren looked at me confused until I grabbed his hand and turned it to look at his arms.

"All but one." I said as I let go of him and grabbed some antiseptic and bandages,

I carefully applied it to his gashes as the others discussed our game plan for next time.

I didn't say anything until Guren and I was walking home.

"Thank you." I quietly said.

"Hm?" Guren hummed as he looked at me.

"For saving me. Back on Quarton. If you didn't do that, I don't think I would be standing here." I said as I looked up.

"Well, I wasn't going to let someone I know, let alone like, die out there. We're supposed to protect each other and I was the closest." Guren mentioned and I felt my face heat up.

"Yeah, but you managed to get injured." I said.

"Yeah. But it's better I get injured that would heal, then lose someone I know forever." Guren said as we reached my house.

Guren walked me to the door and I turned towards him before going inside.

"I like you too. And thank you, my hero." I said as I kissed his cheek, immediately turning around and going inside.

I peek through my curtains to see a stunned Guren who slowly walked back home, which made me smile.

My hero.
