Blue.

Blue is a pretty known colour.

But unfortunately I can't see it.

Apparently people say it's a pretty beautiful colour.

But I can't see it.

I was born without being able to see the colour blue.

But apparently for a reason.

The colour blue was the colour of my soulmates eyes.

And because I haven't met my soulmate, I can't see their eye colour.

But my soulmate also can't see my eye colour.

I've gone most of my life trying to imagine what the colour blue is.

I've been told it looks similar to green or purple but I can't seem to imagine how it looks.

So every time I look up at the sky, I see a light shade of grey.

When I look at water, I just see grey moving.

It makes me sad since it means I just see more grey than anything.

I don't like it.

But it also makes me curious as to who my soulmate is.

Is it someone who's got a big ego.

Or is it someone who is super insecure.

Or is it someone who makes a lot of trouble.

It made me curious for so long.

But I learned to live with it.

When in school, getting confused between grey and blue did piss people off.

And I felt bad because I didn't like pissing people off.

Now I was currently at the beach, enjoying my time in the grey waves.

It was fun, especially because there was a lot of my family that came with me.

And a lot of my cousins had fun goofing around.

There was a nearby cliff that people would jump off.

It wasn't very high so it was quite safe.

But I was afraid of jumping off of it.

I didn't want to drown.

Obviously, I don't think anyone wants to drown.

But my cousin somehow convinced me to do it.

I watched as so much people jumped off.

"You sure I'm not going to drown?" I asked.

"I'm positive. And I'll jump in after you if anything happens." Jack said.

I sighed.

"Okay, I'm going to do it." I said.

I looked at the grey moving water.

"No. I'm scared." I said.

"Just imagine it as blue cotton candy." Jack said.

I glared at him.

"I don't know how the colour blue looks. It's the colour I can't see." I said.

"Oh. Well then don't imagine it like that." Jack said.

I sighed.

"Well, you only live once." I said.

I took a deep breath.
