Hanging with friends can be kind of boring at school.

For one, we don’t have much to do.

And two, our suggestions for activities aren’t all that fun.

So when my friends decided to suggest to play truth or dare, everyone jumped at the chance.

Except me. I just reluctantly joined because I didn’t exactly care for any of it.

Although, since we had an equal amount of females and males, it wasn’t going to be fun.

“Okay, let’s get this going,” I said as I started reading a book I had on me.

“You’re gonna play right?” Beni asked.

“Yeah, sure,” I said, continuing to read.

“Okay. Anyways, uh Ashlynn, truth or dare?” BFF/N questioned.

“Truth,” Ashlynn answered.

“Is it true that you have missed more school days than anyone in this group?” BFF/N questioned.

“Yes. But I had reasons.” Ashlynn answered.

“Sleeping in is not a reason to miss school.” BFF/N said.

“That’s not true,” Ashlynn said.

“Give it up, sleeping in is a terrible reason to miss school. Now, who’s next?”  I said, not looking up from my book.

“Guren, truth or dare?” Ashlynn questioned.

“Dare!” Guren replied.

“I dare you to eat a spoonful of mustard,” Ashlynn said.

Jaylyn grabbed mustard and a spoon out of her bag.

“Why do you have those?” Guren asked.

“I’m not allowed to use chilli to shove down people’s throats so this is the next best thing,” Jaylyn said as she prepared it for Guren.

“Here goes nothing,” Guren said, eating the mustard and forcing it down.

“At least it wasn’t a stick of butter,” I said.

“Beni, truth or dare?” Guren asked.

“Dare,” Beni replied.

“I dare you to, uh, drink…” Guren trailed off and I threw a bottle to Beni.

“Whatever that is.” Guren finished.

“What is it?” Beni asked.

“You don’t want to know. Just know it wards off evil little brothers.” I said.

“Okay,” Beni said.

She drank a bit of it before holding her hands up to her mouth and swallowing it.

“I gagged. What is in that thing.” Beni said.

“Stuff to ward off evil little brothers. It’s got a different mix each time.” I said.

“You know what, Y/N, truth or dare?” Beni asked.

“Truth,” I replied.

“Do you have a crush, currently?” Beni asked.

“Yes,” I said, continuing to read.

“No more context?” Beni questioned.

“Ask me that, then you’ll get your reply,” I said.

“Anyways, can we continue?” Toxsa asked. 

“Yeah, Jaylyn, truth or dare?” I asked.

“Dare,” Jaylyn replied.
