I was a fairly popular person.

People knew my name but they didnt know me.

So you would be surprised as to the amount of people I turned down.

"Why wont you get in a relationship with any of them?" BFF/N would usually question me.

"Because none of them love me." I said.

"But they say they love you." Maddie said.

"They say that. They do not mean that. Its not that hard to see that." I said.

"If I had that many people confess to me, I would be ecstatic." Varia said.

"Yeah. But thats because you are just looking for a relationship. Im not looking for a relationship with fake love." I said.

"I can understand that. Whats the point of a relationship if its just built on fakes and lies." BFF/N said.

"Yeah. See, she understands wha Im saying." I said.

"But you should remember that you shouldnt be picky." Varia said.

"Im not being picky. I dont want to be with someone whos most likely going to cheat, lie and fake their way into life. Im not the biggest fan of people like that." I said.

"Library. Want to go read." I said.

I left them at the table and walked to the library.

On the way I got stopped by someone I didnt really know.

"Hi Y/N." He said.

I only knew his name, which was Dan.

"Hi." I said.

"I love you. I hope you can be my girlfriend." Dan said.

I sighed in my head and smiled at him.

"You're confusing like for love. You only like me, more like a friend than anything. You have confused that for love." I said.

"So. You're saying that we can't date but be friends?" Dan asked.

"Yeah." I said, afraid that he might lose it at me.

"Cool. I would love to be friends with you." Dan said.

"That's nice. I'm sorry for rejecting you." I said.

"No. Thank you for being so nice about it. It was better than getting rejected harshly." Dan said.

"Well, I'm heading to the library, would you want to join. Let's get to know each other as friends." I said.

"Sure. What do you like to read"? Dan asked.

Dan and I talked as we walked to the library, finding things that interested us both.
