Day 2: Toxsa X Reader - Time

Y/N's Pov

*when Toxsa was 13 and you were 12, making the others 14*

'"Toxsa. You are so short and you're older than me." I teased as I looked down at him.

"It's not fair. I haven't been able to grow and you have and you're younger than me." Toxsa complained.

"It's not my fault you're so short," I said as I ruffled his hair.

"I will be taller than you one day," Toxsa claimed.

"Totally." I sarcastically said.

*a week later*

"Shortstack!" I exclaimed as I ran up to him.

"What's up?" Toxsa asked.

"I'm moving!" I exclaimed.

"What? To where?" Toxsa asked.

"The next city. My mum got a new job so my siblings and I have to go with her." I explained.

"You have to leave me?" Toxsa asked.

"Kind of. But I'll make sure to visit every month. And we can still talk and we still can play games together." I said, smiling.

"Yeah, but you're my best friend," Toxsa said.

"Aw! You'll always be my shortstack." I said.

"Yeah," Toxsa said and I hugged him.

*4 years later*

Toxsa and I had stayed in touch for the last four years since.

I'd always make an effort to visit him at least once a month, and he'd even visit me sometimes.

Despite all of that, he was still my shortstack.

I was in the car with my older brother as we made the trip to Benham City since it's been about two or three months since I've seen him.

"I haven't seen him forever." I started talking as I went on one of my rants about Toxsa and our memories together.

"I know. But stop talking about him. You will see him soon so how about you try to rest before we get there." Zachery, my older brother told me.

(Zachery is evil)

"I know. But I haven't seen him and I can't wait. Oh, and what about you and Wakemai. Something going on there." I teased him.

"Shut up. There's nothing going on with me and her. We're good friends, like you and Toxsa. I should be more concerned that you're dating Toxsa." Zachery said.

"I'm not," I stated. 'I wish though.' I thought.

I had fallen asleep for the rest of the ride to Benham City.

"...Y/N... We're here... Y/N!... We're here!" Someone said, shaking me and I shot up.

"We are?" I questioned as I yawned, looking outside the window.

"We are!" I exclaimed, taking off my seatbelt and getting out of the car.

I was about to leave before my brother grabbed a hold of me.

"No. You have to greet our family first. Then you can go on your frenzy." Zachery said and I sighed.

"Fine," I said as we grabbed our bags and walked inside.

We greeted our cousins, aunty and uncle and then it was time to go.

"Okay. I'm going to see Toxsa! Bye!" I said, running out of the house and towards Toxsa's house.

Once I got to his house, I knocked on the door hoping someone would answer.

"Hey Y/N." Wakemai had answered the door.

"Wakemai! It's been too long!" I exclaimed, giving her a hug.

"Yeah, it has. But I'm assuming you're here for Toxsa and not me." Wakemai stated.

"I'm sorry but yeah. Have you seen him?" I asked.

"He did leave a bit ago with his friends. So I can't tell for sure where he went." Wakemai said.

"Aw, thanks. I'll see you later. Zachery is here so you should meet with him. He talks a lot about you. Bye!" I told her as I gave her a quick hug and ran.

I looked all over the city for Toxsa. It was a fruitless attempt until I checked the park. There was Toxsa, hanging with his group of friends.

"Toxsa!" I yelled as I ran up to him and jumped on him, hugging him.

Toxsa stabilised us so we didn't fall over.

"Y/N?" Toxsa questioned and I nodded.

I looked at him and smiled.

"Yep. I'm back. I haven't seen you in forever!" I said as I let go of him.

"We're going to leave." I heard Guren say as the rest of them left us.

"Yeah, it's been three months," Toxsa said.

I took a step back to take a good look at him and I noticed how much taller he had gotten.

"You got so tall. Wow. I can't even reach the top of your head." I said, looking at him and tried reaching the top of his head.

"Yeah. And now I'm finally taller than you." Toxsa said, ruffling the top of my head.

"Yeah. Guess you can't be my shortstack anymore." I said.

"Well, you can be my shortcake now," Toxsa said.

"I'm actually glad you're taller than me. Zachery wouldn't stop teasing me, saying that I was going to date the short guy." I rambled.

"Date.. me?" Toxsa questioned.

I had realised what I had said and I covered my face.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to blurt it out so suddenly." I said as I tried covering my face even more.

"Y/N," Toxsa said, trying to pry my hands away from my face.

I hummed to let him know I was alive.

Toxsa sighed, grabbed both of my wrists and removed them from my face.

"I like you too. Have for a while. I never wanted to say because I didn't want anyone to think it was weird that I was shorter than you. But I think this was a good as time as ever." Toxsa said.

I smiled as I looked up at him.

"Now, I don't think that we have very long before you have to go back. Wanna go on some dates?" Toxsa suggested.

I nodded as he lifted me up and spun me around.

"I love you," Toxsa said as he kissed me.

I smiled into it and hugged him after we pulled away.

"Now let's go to my house. I know how much you like Wakemai's cooking." Toxsa said and I smiled.

"Yeah! Let's go!" I exclaimed and held his hand as we walked to his house.

All he needed was a little time. Time to grow and time to love.
