Too late -Ceylan X Reader

Y/N's Pov

I plugged the USB into the computer. I opened it up to the files and saw the only thing on the USB.

I opened the file and a video started playing.

Ceylan appeared on the screen.

"Is it on. I dunno know if this is recording. Well anyways, hi. uh. What am I going to say? Do I say it straight out or... I dunno." Ceylan said.

I giggled.

"Well. I don't know if I'll give this to you or not but anyways. Hey Y/N. I'm not a very open person when it comes to my feelings and so, I decided to record a video to do that. I still don't know if I will give this to you but anyway. Uh. How do I put this. Well, this is supposed to be a video about my feelings right." Ceylan says.

Ceylan looked slightly to the side then back at the camera.

"I dunno where I'm looking at. I'm the only one in this room." Ceylan said making me giggle.

"Well anyways. I like you Y/N. This started a few weeks into us being friends. Well more when it was the first time we hung out. Only us. I started having feelings for you. I didn't realise it at first but it took me talking to Beni that I realised it. Who knew I would talk to Beni about this. I think I actually love you. I don't think I can do this. I can't give this to her. She wouldn't like me. Ugh, I'm an idiot." Ceylan said and put his head into his lap.

"Wait, is this thing still on. Oh, crap it is. How do you shut this..." Ceylan said and the video cut off.

"Aw. I love you too Ceylan. I just wish I could have told you before you left me." I said as I started crying.

This was the last thing I had of Ceylan.

A week ago Ceylan had died due to his house burning down. His parents had made it out but he didn't.

"Why did you leave me?" I questioned to no one.

I looked at the video and played it again.

Being able to hear his voice and see him without him actually being there made me feel better although he wasn't.

"Y/N. Can I come in?" Beni asked.

"Yeah." I said.

Beni walked in and looked at me.

"Y/N. I'm sorry about what happened but this is unhealthy. I haven't seen you eat properly lately. Everyone else is getting worried." Beni said.

"I think I'm ready to leave." I said.

"Okay, the others are waiting outside." Beni said.

I closed my computer and got up.

Beni and I walked out of the room and everyone saw us.

"Y/N. You're alive!" BFF/N exclaimed and hugged me. Everyone else, surprisingly even Gen and Beni, joined in.

"It's gonna be okay." Guren said.

"I know it is." I said.

"Now, let's go for ice-cream." BFF/N said.

I smiled at her. Always wanting to make things better with food.

"Yeah." I said.

We all left and went to the closest ice-cream shop.

But there was one thing going through my mind.

That Ceylan got to confess once too late.
