I Will Protect You - Gen X Reader

Y/N's Pov

I had gotten up late in the morning.

I don't exactly understand how since I have five alarms on every day to make sure I get up.

But I somehow slept through them all.

I didn't really care about being late since it's the first time and I would get a warning at the most.

I got up and got changed.

I decided to quickly eat breakfast before walking to school.

My parents had already left to work so I wasn't worried about them.

Once I got to school, I went to the office to get a late note.

I then went to class and gave the note to my teacher.

As I walked in I noticed certain people staring at me.

Which made me quite worried.

But I decided to ignore it.

Although I know something worse will dawn on me later.

*time skip to the end of the day*

I was looking around the hallway cautiously.

For some reason I wasn't hurt during the day.

Which is weird because I get bullied every day.

And I know they were at school.

So the entire day I was super cautious of everything.

I grabbed everything I needed for home from my locker and started walking home.

My house wasn't in the easiest walking place as there were a few dark alleyways here and there.

As I was walking, someone from the deep depths of the shadows grabbed me and pulled me into the alleyway.

The mysterious person pushed me on the floor.

I looked up and saw my bullies.

"We decided that your punishment needs to be more severe." The main bully said.

They all started beating me up.

I did nothing to defend myself because I couldn't.

"Stop it!" Someone shouted.

I looked at the person and saw Gen.

He was one of my friends but we don't usually talk a lot since he was more quirt. And I actually liked it though.

"What are you gonna do?" The main bully asked.

"Keep going and you'll find out." Gen said.

The bullies laughed and continued to beat me up, not really caring about what Gen says.

Then I saw one of the bullies being lifted up and thrown on the ground.

And then another.

And then another.

Gen looked at the main bully.

"I wouldn't take another step closer if I was you." the main bully said.

Gen stared him down as I saw the main bully reach into his back pocket.

Gen approached him and was about to grab him when all of the sudden the bully had slashed him.

With a butterfly knife.

"I did warn you." The bully said.

Gen got up.

"And I warned you." Gen said as quickly grabbed the bully's wrists and grabbed the knife.

He threw it on the ground and punched the bully.

The both of them started fighting.

Punches and kicks were thrown.

But soon enough the bully had gotten hurt so much that he just up and ran away.

Leaving his knife on the floor.

His other friends were already gone, not wanting to get involved any more.

I looked up at Gen as he helped me up.

I looked at him and saw a huge slash across his clothing and blood seeping through it.

"Oh no. We have to get you fixed up." I said.

"Are you okay?" Gen asked.

"I'm fine. But you're not. Come on, my house isn't far from here." I said.

I put his arm across my shoulder and started half dragging him to my house.

I got inside and made him sit on the couch.

I grabbed the first aid kit and sat next to Gen.

I then realised what I had to do.

" You're going to need to take your shirt off." I said, with pink tinting my face.

"Okay." Gen said.

Gen took off his leather jacket and then his shirt he was wearing under it off.

I looked at the scar and sighed happily, knowing that it wasn't too bad.

"I'm sorry if this stings." I said.

I cleaned his cut and wrapped bandages around him.

"You know you're really sweet." Gen said.

I felt blood rush up to my face.

"Uh thanks." I said as I continued what I was doing.

"That's probably why I became attracted to you so easily." Gen said which caused me to drop the bandages for a second.

I quickly grabbed them and finished wrapping them around Gen.

"At first I was just interested in you since you seemed interesting. I think that just grew." Gen said.

"Y-you don't s-say." I stuttered.

Gen chuckled and lifted my face up by my chin.

"I think I might even love you." Gen said.

I knew by now I was super red.

"U-Uh." I stammered.

My words felt as if they were stuck in my throat.

I looked down.

"I-I th-think I l-love you t-too." I managed to get out.

Gen lifted my face up so I can see him.

"Good so I can do this." Gen said and leaned in and kissed me.

I felt heat rush up to my face but I managed to kiss back.

After a bit we pulled away.

"Thank you for helping me." Gen said.

"I-I should be th-thanking you f-for saving me f-from those b-bullies." I stammered.

"I would do it a thousand times to keep you safe." Gen said.

I smiled.

Gen seemed to be my hero.

Saving me from everything bad.

And it made me fall in love with him even more every single time.

And I wasn't going to trade him for the world.
