Y/N's POV
1 day. 3 hours. 53 minutes. 47 seconds.
Time.
They say that you have all the time in the world.
But in some situations you don't.
One of them happens to be meeting your soulmate.
We are all born with a clock on our arms.
And the clocks are counting down.
Counting down for us to meet our soulmates.
We meet our soulmates by locking eyes with them and if the timer hit zero, there's a beeping noise indicating we've met our soulmate.
Although people do go on dates with other people that aren't their soulmates before they meet their soulmate, it's more just for fun.
Me on the other hand rather sit inside with a game controller in my hand and playing some intense video game.
But that was fun for me.
I looked at my arm. 1 day. 3 hours. 50 minutes. 23 seconds.
This worried me.
I was going to meet my soulmate soon.
And I'm only twelve.
That made a lot of sense.
In my belief, I don't think you should meet your soulmate til you're a lot older.
But I don't choose my path with this one.
Fate does.
And so I have to worry about who my soulmate is.
My parents think that I have three years before I meet my soulmate.
My friends think I have ten years before I meet my soulmate.
But I only knew that I had such little time left.
I looked at my game controller and picked it up again.
I spent the rest of the day playing video games.
The next day, when I woke up, I had looked at my arm.
7 hours. 20 minutes. 15 seconds.
I sighed as I put my head in my hands.
How was I meeting my soulmate so soon?
Why was I meeting my soulmate so soon?
I quickly glanced at the clock and saw that I was an hour late to school.
I jumped out of bed and got changed quickly.
I ran out of my house, not having time to grab something to eat, and ran to school.
I got to school, got a late note, and ran into class.
I gave my late note to my teacher and sat down in my seat.
BFF/N laughed and I just glared at them.
After about twenty minutes, it was recess.
I walked out of class with BFF/N by my side.
"So why were you late?" BFF/N asked.
"Slept in." I said.
"Stayed up all night playing games again?" BFF/N asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"I swear your soulmate is gonna have a hard time with you." BFF/N said.
"In what, ten years." I said.
