Third Pov

Ever since you are born, your heart cannot beat. Your heart still works, but does not beat. The only way for your heart to beat is when you find your soulmate and look into each other's eyes. Then your hearts will start beating in sync and continue beating forever. Although, when your soulmate dies, your heart beat is slower. This is a little sad for some people. Y/N L/N. Not the most popular person but still one with friends. Who has spent her entire life, looking down instead of up. She always wanted to find her soulmate but was also scared about who it could be. So she looks down to, in a way, hide from others. Gen Kurai. A guy who's considered so emo, he went emo. He's lived his entire life not knowing about this whole soulmate thing. But he hasn't ever asked anyone about why his heart doesn't beat. Because he wasn't all that curious. What happens when these two soulmates meet.

Gen's Pov

I was walking around school, looking for Beni who wanted to see me.

I had remembered that three years ago we were fighting with each other, fighting against each other and now going to school.

Since then, I had cut my hair a bit so it wasn't completely covering my eye and that it wasn't too long.

As I was looking for Beni, I had passed a H/C-haired girl.

I knew who she was.

She was Y/N L/N.

She didn't have many friends and she was always looking down.

I wanted to talk to her for a while but I never knew how to approach her.

Mainly because I had a crush on her.

I finally found Beni, who was outside talking with Guren.

"What did you need me for?" I asked.

"Hey Gen." Guren said.

"Hey Guren." I greeted.

"Did you finish the assignment given to us for science?" Guren asked.

Guren and I kept talking until I felt my hair fall down.

I turned around and saw Beni, holding my hair tie.

(I believe that the only way Gen keeps his hair up is using a hair tie and probably an intense amount of hair spray because no one in any society is able to keep their hair up like that naturally.)

"Beni. Give me my hair tie before I rip your head from your body." I said.

"Nope." Beni said, running away.

"I'm gonna kill her." I said.

"I've never heard you speak like that." Guren said.

"Beni is the only one who can cause me to do that." I said.

"Well, it's only one day. I'm sure Beni will give you the hair tie at the end of the day." Guren said.

"Yeah, maybe." I said.

Y/N's Pov

I was walking to class when I noticed what seemed to be a new student.

She had auburn-brown hair that covered one of her eyes and dark clothes.
