Day 12: Toxsa X Reader - Secret Gaming
Toxsa's Pov
"Hey Y/N! Wanna hang out this weekend?" I asked as I approached her.
"Oh, no sorry. I'm busy." Y/N said.
Y/N and I had been friends for a while now. We both knew each other when I showed her around the school on her first day.
Although we had been friends, she barely ever hung out with me, or anyone of our friends.
I had gotten used to it, only because I knew that she was always working on something, either to do with school or for herself.
It did hurt a little, not being able to hang out with someone who I considered such a good friend of mine, and also someone I liked, but it wasn't like I was expecting anything.
I nodded at her and gave her a small smile.
"Well okay then. Wanna walk home now?" I asked and she nodded.
We walked together in silence, which was better for both of us because although I was usually a loud person, I did need some silence sometimes and these were those times.
"I'll see you on monday." I said as we had gotten to her house.
"Yeah, see ya." Y/N said and I smiled and waved at her.
I left and went home.
The next day, I had gotten ready so I could go to the arcade.
Everyone was busy, so I was on my own today.
I went down to my local arcade, after escaping Wakemai and her countless attempts at wanting me to work, and got a bunch of tokens.
I put them into my pocket and went to a car simulation machine.
I usually started with these because I didn't need too much skill for it and didn't need to know many buttons.
I played it, coming first every time, and decided to switch games.
I went around and played a few different games, and decided to go to street fighter.
What I noticed was that someone else was already playing it.
That wasn't what surprised me. It was who playing it.
"Y/N?" I questioned.
She didn't answer as I watched her best every opponent.
After she stopped, I put my hand on her shoulder and she turned to look at me, taking an earbud out.
"Hey Y/N, you seem quite 'busy'." I mentioned giving her a smile.
"Oh, hey Toxsa." Y/N greeted and I looked down at her.
"You never told me you were good at gaming." I said.
"Oh, yeah. I didn't know what you would say and thought you'd laugh at me so I just kept quiet." I said.
"I would never. I actually think it's cool. Now I have somebody who's worthy of a match." I said, smiling at her.
"Cool. In that case, wanna take a turn against me." Y/N said and I felt as if her attitude took a change.
I smirked a little and sat next to her.
"You're on." I said as we both put in a token.
We ended up spending the entire day together, playing different games and getting riled up when the other won.
It was fun, and although I didn't confess, I felt closer to her already.
And it was fun to have a gamer friend, even if she kept it secret.
