Number one.

That is all I aimed for.

And guess what.

I was always second.

Because of him.

Chooki Mason.

Now, let's get this straight. 

I didn't hate Chooki.

We actually get along.

But we're both competitive.

And because of that, we're always trying to beat each other.

No matter what it was.

We were basically friendly rivals.

People even called us a couple sometimes.

Not that I really minded.

But what frustrated me, even more, was that he always beat me.

No matter how hard I tried, I was going to beat him at something.

"So how's being second?" Ceylan asked.

"Shut up. How's never achieving anything?" I questioned.

"I'm not going to even bother. Your rival wants to see you." Ceylan said.

"K, bye." I said.

I said.

I walked to the sports field, knowing Chooki would be there.

Why.

Well, we had a sports competition against four other schools.

And each school had two of their top students compete against each other in multiple sports.

And that means I had to deal with Chooki for it.

But, the competition also made you compete against each other.

And so that was a goal I had for today.

To not only beat the other schools, but to also beat Chooki.

Once I got there, I saw Chooki, looking out at the field.

I approached him.

"Hey idiot." I said.

"Sup 2nd place." Chooki said, looking at me.

"So, what sports are we doing today?" I asked.

Each year they changed up the sports we competed in.

"How about you go get ready first." Chooki said.

"How about you don't tell me what to do." I said.

"Fine, but there are about five minutes till we have to meet our teacher before the competition." Chooki said.

I glared at him.

"Okay, sheesh. It's not like I should be talking, I haven't changed anyways. Shefester High has chosen the sports this year. We've got the high jump, javelin, soccer, basketball and the obstacle course." Chooki said.

"Crap." I said.

"I forgot. You're bad at javelin, aren't you." Chooki said.

"Shut up." I said.

"Anyways, let's go meet our teacher, and the principal."  Chooki said.

We walked to the gym and our principal along with our coach/teacher standing next to him.
