Day 20: Keep her safe - Ceylan X Reader

Y/N's Pov
I was walking to class, in hopes to escape getting tormented for the millionth time this week.

I kept my head down and my hood over my head to avoid the looks of others when I was shoved into a wall.

"You know, that hurts?" I said as I looked up to see my tormenter.

"So, the weakling has a tongue now?" My tormenter questioned.

I looked them dead in the eye. "Yeah Rick, I'm tired of your torment every day," I said.

He then punched me in the face and I fell on the floor.

"Gonna feel that tomorrow," I said quietly.

"Don't mess with me, or you won't like it," Rick said.

"Good luck with that," I said, getting up and grabbing my bag.

I was about to walk away before I was shoved into the wall again by my throat.

"I'm being serious, I'll make your life a living hell," Rick said, dropping me.

"Already living it. Try harder next time." I said, glaring at him. I got up and walked away, brushing him off.

This was a daily routine. I would usually get best up, usually because I would talk back to him and didn't want to go down without a somewhat of a fight.

He was stronger than me so landing a punch was inevitable, and I know cause I've tried it.

That didn't mean that he could get away with it. I would have told a teacher by now but the ones that I have tried haven't believed me. This is because I am kinda clumsy.

I put my hand to my face to feel a bruise already forming and I sighed.

"That's not gonna look pretty," I whispered.

I sat down in my seat in class and put my head on the desk.

"Hey Y/N!" I heard someone greet and I looked to see Ceylan.

"Hey." I greeted as I smiled at him.

"What happened to your face?" Ceylan asked.

"Walked into a pole this morning. Kinda tired." I lied as he sat down next to me.
"That looks like it hurts. You should be more careful." Ceylan mentioned.

"I'll try, but I swear that pole was placed just so I could walk into it," I said.

"We gonna hang after school?" Ceylan asked.

"Nah, I gotta catch up on some school works. Tomorrow maybe?" I questioned.

"Sure, just don't stress yourself too much," Ceylan said and I smiled at that as I put my head on the table.

"Don't worry. I'm better than you think I am." I said.

Being friends with Ceylan was something that was more of an adventure.

He was always happy and joking around, but he worried a lot about others.

He always wanted to try something new and always had something he wanted to do.

Those things made me fall for him.

Hard.

I knew he cared about me but I didn't want to worry him any more than I already had with my clumsy self.
