Opposite - Chooki X Reader

Y/N's Pov
"Hey Chooki!" I yelled out as I ran to him.

Chooki has been my best friend since I was young. He was the only one I could rely on since my parents divorced.

And I was there when we both got our corebricks, protecting each other from everything.

"What do you want?" Chooki asked.

"Chooki? Are you okay?" I asked.

"I'm fine. Now leave me alone." Chooki said.

I looked at him and noticed that his eyes went from emerald to purple.

I then felt someone grab my hand.

I looked behind me to see the gang and Gen had grabbed my hand.

They took me somewhere else while I struggled against their grip.

"What is wrong with him? What happened on the last mission? Why are his eyes purple?" I questioned them once we got to a safe area.

"We don't really know the details but on the last mission, Slyger and Granox had this weird cannon. And they shot him with it. At the time, he had blacked out so we took him back to earth. Once we got there, we waited for him to wake up. When he woke up he tried attacking us. His corebrick glowed black and yellow. And his eyes were purple instead of emerald." Beni explained.

"What are you insinuating?" I asked.

"We're afraid Chooki has gone to the dark side. And unfortunately, we don't know how to revert him back." Guren said.

"I should have been there. I could have stopped this." I said.

"And do what Y/N. Get hit with the cannon. You turn to the dark side?" Ceylan asked, seemingly a little mad. Did I forget to mention that Ceylan was my brother.

"Yeah. It at least wouldn't have affected him. You guys need him more than you do me." I said.

"And how in the name of Quarton would that make Chooki feel. Happy? Glad? He would feel guilty for not stopping it or you. He'd rather sacrifice his entire health, energy and soul for you than even see a little tinge of hurt on you." Ceylan yelled.

"And I'd do the same!" I yelled back.

"And it wouldn't have done anything!" Ceylan said.

"It would have done something." I said.

"NO!" Ceylan yelled.

I stepped back.

"Shut the hell up! I am not about to sit back and watch my sister say she'll sacrifice herself for something that we can fix. So shut up. Instead of feeling guilty, how about you help us try everything to revert him the hell back. Because you are not the only one who has to sit back and feel guilty for not being able to stop him from rushing in or stop the cannon from firing." Ceylan shot back.

I calmed down, letting his words sink in.

"Yeah. We need to find some antidote for this." I said.

"I've been researching into that. It might take a while to figure it out though." Beni said.

"Then how are we going to deal with this. My best friend may be suffering and now we have to wait?" I questioned.

"It's okay. If you want to help, you and I can do research together. I know how you are with research and how you're very observant." Beni suggested.

"Sure." I said.

"So. Can I speak up?" Gen questioned.

"Yeah, go for it." Guren said, who seemed a little shocked from how fast Ceylan and I calmed down from our yelling match.
