Day 24: Knight in Joking Armour- Ceylan X Reader

A/N: Again, everyone important here is about 17/18

Y/N's Pov

I wasn't one who was particular in confrontations. This was due to being extremely shy and not liking to deal with social interactions.

Although it was a surprise when I started dating someone.

Then it was even more of a surprise when I dumped them.

I was one to avoid confrontation so for me to go out of my way to dump someone surprised.

My friends supported me, even after hearing what my ex did to me.

He was emotionally manipulative and I could see it after a bit so I decided to dump him.

Every time I see him though, I have to carefully avoid him as to not have any kind of breakdown.

This time I was out with my friends. We were going shopping for some last-minute picnic supplies, mainly because some of them forgot to pack the things we asked them to bring so here we are.

"Toxsa. How did you forget to bring food? You work at a diner." I questioned as I was grabbing some snacks.

"It's not my fault. I was playing games all night." Toxsa said.

"I'm gonna choke him," I said.

"As much as a good idea that is, I think having a picnic is better than having to bail you out of jail," Ceylan said.

"Look, at least I brought the stuff I was told too," I said.

"Okay, how about you and I go to the chips aisle and leave the rest to bring the other stuff," Ceylan said and I nodded.

We both left to the chips aisle and grabbed everything we needed before going to pay for it.

I was waiting outside the shops, holding everything that we needed for the picnic when someone approached me.

"Hey! Y/N, it's been a while." I look up from my phone and see my ex, (insert name here).

"Yeah, wish it had been longer," I mumbled.

"So what are you doing here. You look like you're carrying a lot, let me help." They said and before they could even reach for my things I took a step back.

"It's okay. I'm fine." I said.

"You're exactly like before. Why can't you just accept help from someone who's offering." They growled and I felt like cowering.

"I don't want help from you," I said.

"Of course you're acting like that. You've always been such a ..." I felt a tug from behind and someone put their arms around me.

"Hey cupcake, who's this." I felt someone take a few bags off me and I felt a small few taps from the person behind me, and I immediately knew it was Ceylan.

I've had to get Ceylan out of a few situations, cause he got popular in school pretty quickly, and so I knew he was helping out.

"Oh, sorry, and you are supposed to be?" (insert random name) asked.

"Her boyfriend. Sorry to cut your conversation short but we have a date and we don't want to miss it." Ceylan said.

Ceylan grabbed my hand and we walked away, meeting our friends at the front of the mall.

"So who was that back there?" Gen asked.

"I swear if you stopped a potential..." I stopped Beni before she could continue.
