Video game character - Toxsa X Reader

Shadow Dragons. They are deemed filth. Mostly extinct and rare to find. They hide themselves as humans. They are known as half shadow dragons. They are more powerful. Not only being able to look like humans, but having all the powers of a shadow dragon. They have multiple different powers. Some have elemental powers, others don't. What is known is that they are ferocious creatures who shouldn't be messed with.

Y/N's Pov
I was walking to school as I held my arm. I was afraid. Of getting caught.

There are only a few of us left. Shadow dragons. That's what we are. We are referred to as ferocious creatures.

We aren't considered human. It's a pain having to hide it. Hiding my wings and keeping my powers under control. That's what's hard.

I walked into school and immediately my best friend had run up to me.

"Hey Toxsa." I said.

"Hey. You coming over for a gaming session today?" Toxsa asked.

"Depends. I'll have to ask my parents." I said.

"Okay. Oh and guess what. Doomsploder 15 came out. I'm going after school to go get it. Wanna come?" Toxsa suggested.

"Sure. I'd be down for that." I said.

We both walked over to our group of friends.

I shifted my glasses upwards.

I didn't have a need for glasses. My eyesight wasn't bad.

But I had to use them.

One of my powers are the ability to read minds and see into ones past.

These glasses keeps me from doing that.

I hated being a shadow dragon sometimes.

I smiled at them as we all talked.

*time skip to half of the day*

I had to run out of the classroom.

Why?

Well, I had lost control of my powers.

And I almost hit someone with them.

So I ran out of class and out of school.

I got home and I hid.

"Y/N?" I heard my mum ask.

"In my room." I yelled.

I heard someone walk into my room and sat next to me.

"Hey." I looked up and saw my brother.

"Hey Jason." I said.

"What's up." Jason asked.

"What do you think." I said as I showed him my arms.

One of them had frozen while the other was slightly burned.

"You lost control of your powers?" Jason asked.

"Yeah. It's not so easy to have them you know." I said.

"I know. Especially cause you are the only one in the family who has the main elemental powers. How's Dark doing?" Jason asked.

Dark was the name we had for my dark side.

She was the other reason why my powers are hard to control.

She's trying to get enough power to leave my body.

"She's fine. Painful though." I said.

"You want some rest?" Jason asked.

"Yeah." I said.

Jason got up and left, closing the door.

I got up and laid on my bed.

Soon enough, I was asleep.

Later on, I was woken up by a ringing.

I looked up and saw my phone ringing.

I picked it up and answered it.

"Hello?" I questioned.

"Hey Y/N. Heard you ran out. You okay?" I heard Toxsa asked.

"I'm fine. Just felt a bit sick. My mum picked me up and now I'm home. I fell better now." I said.

"That's good. Is it okay if I come over. I got the new Doomsploder game and I really want to play it with you." Toxsa said.

"Yeah sure. Just text me when you get here." I said.

"Okay. Well see ya." Toxsa said.

"Bye." I said, ending the call.

I sat up and closed my eyes.

I waited until I felt my wings disappear then I got up.

I fixed up my room a bit till I heard a text.

Toxsa had gotten here.

"That was fast." I mumbled to myself.

I went downstairs and opened the door.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey." Toxsa said.

"Idiota. I'm gonna be in my room with Toxsa!" I yelled to Jason as we walked upstairs.

"Okay, don't kill him!" Jason yelled.

"I'll try not to!" I yelled back.

Toxsa wasn't fazed by this as he comes over my house quite a lot to play games.

Although the first time he was weirded out.

"Okay, let's play." I said as we started up the game.

We both got a controller and started playing.

Halfway through the game, I felt my hands freeze up.

"No, not now." I mumbled to myself.

A few seconds later and the entire console had went frozen.

"What happened?" Toxsa asked.

He looked at me.

"Im sorry Toxsa." I said.

"What happened?" Toxsa asked.

I lifted my hands to show an icicle shard.

I then felt my wings appear.

"I am a creature that is feared by most humans. It is extremely rare to find one of us as we were exterminated by humans. And I'm afraid of showing it. I am a shadow dragon." I said as I looked down.

"That. Is. So. Cool." Toxsa said as he grabbed my hands.

He was looking at the icicle shard.

"So can you actually use your powers?" And can you fly?" Toxsa asked.

"You don't hate me?" I questioned.

"No. In fact I love you even more." Toxsa said.

He then realised what he said and covered his mouth.

I laughed a bit.

"Toxsa, I like you too." I said.

"Awesome. Can you show me a few things?" Toxsa asked.

"You sure you don't hate me?" I asked.

"No. It's like you're a real life video game character." Toxsa said.

I smiled at him.

We both talked for a bit, with him asking me questions and talking about my different abilities.

And I finally wasn't disgusted by being a shadow dragon.

I was happy.

Because someone liked me.

Just like a video game character.

A/N: Done. I have finished this after a bit and this was more just fun. Also, I don't know if I made it up but if anyone wants me to thoroughly explain what a shadow dragon is, then please tell me. I doubt anyone would want to know about it. Anyways, see y'all next time.
