*insert unoriginal joke about me being late here*

Yeah, sorry about that guys, I'm trying my best, but the new semester started so now instead of three, four classes are giving me piles of homework to complete every day. God I can't wait until summer- it's my favorite season, too. At least I managed to get the latest (and also late) chapter to my Boku no Hero Academia story finished, which I'll publish momentarily.

Aurora and Evangeline (she was surprised she had never actually known the Eevee's first name, though given she died long before Luna gained the ability to understand Pokemon speech, and none of the others aside from Raven knew she was with them the whole time, they hadn't had the chance to learn it)- and Nightshade- had traveled across almost all of Melemele, informing Luna and Cloudy's friends and teachers of what had happened.

Their classmates were outraged that Team Rocket had gone to the extent of kidnapping the girls and Pokemon, and terrified for their wellbeing. Professor Kukui felt much the same, to the point where he called up Kahuna Hala, who then- with the help of some Officer Jennys- began assembling a taskforce to help rescue them.

The students insisted they come and help, Ash the most vocal of them all. "Those are my sisters you're talking about! I can't sit by while some criminals have them locked up! Pikachu, Rowlet, Litten, Rockruff and I aren't going to let them!"

Chiming in with cries of agreement, the other kids and Pokemon agreed. Kiawe and Turtonator were adamant about saving them- particularly Cloudy, but he had come to respect Luna and didn't want to see her captured by bad guys either. He also offered to give the others a ride on his Charizard to get there faster. Lillie, despite her reluctance to participate in Pokemon battles or anything to do with most Pokemon in general, was determined to help her friends, and Snowy looked ready to freeze anyone who got in their way. Mallow, Lana, and Sophocles were much the same, as were their Pokemon.

They all set off once they got word the rescue squadron had been assembled, meeting up with the group of officers and their Pokemon, the lead Officer Jenny's Arcanine looking particularly grim, following nothing but the weak link Evangeline could feel connecting her to her "body" and her children.

On the way, Aurora could feel a powerful group of energies approaching them, Evangeline picking up on the presences and stopping the squadron with a flare of her wings. They all stopped as a group of five people appeared in the distance, walking up to them quickly.

There were two girls and three boys, looking about Luna's age. The first was a boy with shaggy blond hair and blue eyes, the second a pale girl with light blue eyes and long white hair that faded to blue at the tips, the third a girl with pink hair curled up around her shoulders in the back with two long straight locks in the front with turquoise eyes, and the last a dark-skinned boy with pulled-back black hair, a patterned red hat, and ocean blue eyes. Yet their energies were not that of humans, but that of a certain group of legendaries...

The Island Guardians! And... a Volcarona... boy?

She was referring to the last person, a boy with red hair and a three connected pairs of red-orange speckled insect-like wings sprouting from his back, cut out from his white t-shirt.

The girl that had the aura of Tapu Fini regarded the group, addressing Aurora and Evangeline specifically. "You... Your energy bears a resemblance with both the lineage Luna Oak-Ketchum Fox is a part of and that of her Lunalox. I assume you all are assembling to rescue her?"

"Yes, that's correct," Aurora answered. "I'm her mother, and Evangeline was her adoptive Eevee mother, who lived in Lunalox's body for a while."

The five glanced between each other. "We first gathered to discuss the powerful blast Lunalox let off a few days ago, the attack we later learned was called the Lustrous Lunar Lightstorm," the blond Tapu Koko boy informed them. "However, when we noticed a shift in her energy and the sudden gathering of powerful entities, we realized she was captured." He seemed to be holding something back, but she didn't have time to worry about that now.

"As the Island Guardians, it is our job to protect Alola," Bulu added. "With a group like Team Rocket attempting to capture legendaries and illegally catch and sell Pokemon, we simply cannot let them stay here."

"Then it sounds like we're on the same page. We need all the help we can get. There's no doubt that the others with fight tooth and nail as soon as they're free, but they have likely been incapacitated and harmed in captivity, so until we can be sure they're safe, it's up to us to get them out in one piece."

"And apparently a key player in this entire operation... is Luna's twin," Aurora admit.

The entire group behind her collectively let out a gasp. "Luna has a twin!?"

"And nobody told us!?"

"Does she even know!? What about Cloudy!? What happened to her? Where is she? Where did she go!?"

Evangeline silenced them with another flare of her four wings. "All we know right now is that her name is Moon, she ran away when she and Luna were much younger, and she is now Giovanni's assistant. We can sort out everything else later."

"She's right; we don't have any time to lose," Lele advised. "Now, let us show you the quickest way there by foot. We already sent Taiyo to scout," she pointed to the Volcarona boy, "and he found us a direct route there. I'm Calypso, by the way."

"Shane," Koko introduced. (Ash gawked at the human form of the Island Guardian he had fought against, the one who entrusted him with a Z-Ring and Z-Crystal. This guy was the Pokemon that helped protect Melemele, worshiped by all its inhabitants? Yet even he could feel the energy the boy gave off, and swore to follow him if it meant saving his family and friends from Team Rocket's evil clutches.)

"Mystic," said Fini.

"And Kaito," Bulu completed.

"This is Nightshade," she pointed to the shiny Greninja, "the only one of Luna's Pokemon not trapped in there with her. And I'm Aurora," the brunette said. "Lead the way."
