I might accidentally publish chapters late from now on. School has begun and it's a bit overwhelming with all the schedule changes and people. I'll try my best though, so enjoy this chapter!

As Luna and her Umbreon stepped up across from Tapu Koko, he sped over and stared at her seriously. He pointed to the tight necklace with her Key Stone, then to her heart, and finally, to her right wrist bearing her Z-Ring. "You want to fight us with our full power, huh?" She asked.

"This will be interesting. If they use Synchro-Evolution, Mega Evolution, and a Z-Move, Luna and Midnight will be connected through their hearts, minds, and souls! I don't think there's any way for a human to get closer to a Pokemon than that." Kukui commented.

The Island Guardian nodded before returning to his side of the battlefield. As he prepared for the battle to start, the ground around them seemed to become covered in electricity. "Electric Terrain? When did this get here?" Luna asked.

"The Tapu's ability is called Electric Surge; whenever it battles, it temporarily summons Electric Terrain alongside it," Lillie explained, not peeling her eyes off the guardian in awe.

Smirking, Luna turned to Midnight. "Even if he's at an advantage, we'll persevere as one!"

        "Umbre!" Midnight replied, determined.

The rest of the Eeveelutions cheered from the sidelines. Tapu Koko gestured for her to begin. "Alright, here we go! Midnight, let's show them how it's done!" Putting a palm up to touch her Key Stone, the same colored glow enveloped Midnight from the matching Umbreonite tied tightly around her tail. "Synchro-Mega Evolve!" After a burst of energy, Midnight was fully powered up, glowing rings and spheres around her.

Luna could feel hers and Midnight's hearts beating together, lungs breathing together, minds thinking together as one. The Tapu shot into the air before Luna could utter a command and came pummeling back down to face them. "Midnight, use Protect to deflect the attack and knock him back with Swift!"

As a glassy barrier surrounded the special Umbreon, Tapu Koko veered off course, but then Midnight launched her glowing blue star attack, which followed the Island Guardian no matter how fast he flew. He spun around and retaliated with Thunderbolt, snapping the stars in half. "Don't let this stop us! Use Shadow Ball!"

Tapu Koko hit the dark orb back by protecting himself in his Totem. Midnight easily hopped over her deflected attack while the Tapu emerged from his shell-like arms. The two Pokemon stared at each other for a minute, regaining their breath.

"Enough playing! Let's crank it up to eleven! I might not know what this Z-move is called, but we're going to use it and claim our victory!" Luna exclaimed, doing the Electrium Z dance she had seen Ash do. Midnight matched her movements, and a powerful wind began to sweep around them.

Both the girl and her Pokemon were surrounded in a dark, swirling sphere as Tapu Koko watched on, curious. Already connected at the heart and mind, the two felt their souls merge, like having completed their own form of Holy Trinity. With a joined scream, a looming black-hole-like attack formed, sucking in light and energy before Midnight launched herself inside it, zooming off towards the Island Guardian.

The attack exploded in Dark-Type energy, fronted by a blue ring, once it neared him, covering the entire battlefield in a dark mist. After a few minutes and it finally began to disperse, the students and Kukui noticed Tapu Koko was unharmed, having hid within his shell once more. However, Midnight was panting heavily in her normal form, looking down, concern written on her face.

"Where is Luna!?" Lillie asked, not seeing the brown-haired trainer anywhere above the low cloud of dark energy. As they began to panic, the Eeveelutions rushed into the misty oblivion in hopes of finding their trainer.

"Tapu Koko, where is Luna!?" Ash demanded, facing the Guardian of Melemele. He only stared at the boy, then back at the cloud, not responding before flying into the cloud alongside the Eevees. "Hey! You didn't answer the question! Where is my sister!?"

Inside the cloud, Tapu Koko used Flash to illuminate the pocket of mist he and the Eeveelutions were in. There, on the ground, was not a girl, but a Pokemon he didn't recognize. Its face had thick, light brown fur with silver lines running through it, along with matching ears that looked like a cross between a Vulpix's and an Espeon's.. The brown fur slowly faded to pale blue down the creature's body, which had silvery star markings and a fluffy tail, almost like an Umbreon. Two amber crystals hung from two long bunches of fur that framed its face, one on each side. On its back were two wings, the crescent-shaped outlines a silvery gold, while the membrane connecting them to the creature's body was a slightly darker shade of blue than its body fur, also dotted in stars.

"{Luna!? Is that you!?}" Midnight cried, nudging the new, mysterious Pokemon. Tapu Koko continued to study it, noticing a small Key Stone around its neck and a black Z-Ring on its wrist, undeniably holding the Forbidium Z.

"It is her. My theory was correct. The bond she had with you, her Pokemon, was so strong, that when your hearts, minds, and souls connected, she was transformed, allowing you to became as close as could be. Seeing as she was practically raised by you," he told the Eeveelutions, "her ability to understand and empathize with Pokemon was so strong that she gained the ability to become one herself."

Raven, the white and gold Espeon, nuzzled her now-Pokemon sister's head. "{Will she be able to understand us? What about her human friends? Is she going to be stuck a Pokemon forever!?"

"I doubt it. With some practice, I'm sure she can return to looking human in no time. Come on, let's get her home to rest and recover until she wakes up."
