Finally, after what felt like forever, the bell rang. Luna had nothing against the Professor- she quite liked having him as a teacher- but having to hear the same things she already knew could quickly become boring, especially with the idea of learning Pokemon moves with her family.

Kukui instructed her and Lillie to place their eggs in the class incubators to keep them safe for their first night before being able to bring them home. After doing so, she and her Eeveelutions raced out of the school together, finding a nice open area.

"{You really think you're ready to begin learning attacks, dear?}" Raven asked her somewhat-human younger sister once she revealed her plan.

"You know it! I've always been envious that you all could defend yourselves with special moves, and now I'm finally getting the chance!" Luna exclaimed, shifting into Pokemon form. "Midnight, I've Synchro-Mega Evolved with you the most recently, care to show me the reins?"

The shiny Umbreon mock-bowed. "{It'd be my honor.}" Stepping in front of Luna's Pokemon form, Midnight raised a paw, letting off a wave of dark energy. "{This here is Dark Pulse. Using the power of my type and mind, I envisioned it and made it appear alongside me. You try.}"

With a nod, Luna raised her front paw, mirroring her sister. She focused with all her might on the move, creating Dark-Type power and sending it outwards. It wasn't nearly perfect, less a Pulse and more a weak Beam, but a small amount of 'Dark' certainly came out of it.

Even after another dozen attempts, none of which resulted in complete success, slowly but surely Luna was able to create a weak Dark Pulse. "{It's much better than when we started, I'll give you that. Why don't we try another move?}"

Ready to move on to another move form the time being, Luna nodded. "What next?"

Grinning, Midnight turned her head. "{I'm going to teach you the definition of quick.}"

"{Luna, darling, you've been doing wonderfully for your first day, but we've been at this for quite a few hours now. It's time to go home, I'm sure your mother is worried sick!}" Raven exclaimed, nudging her younger sister.

She didn't budge however, releasing another Will-O-Wisp, this time successfully burning her target- a pile of leaves- and cheered. Torch, who was currently teaching her a few moves, licked some dust from his forepaw. "{She's right, you know. You've got to be starving by now!}"

The brown, silver, and blue Pokemon stared at them, obviously exhausted. "But I didn't even finish learning moves from half of you yet! I can still hardly perform some of them, you saw how badly my Fire Blast went after all!" She exclaimed.

"{We'll have plenty of time to work on them, sis!}" Thunderclap reassured her, nuzzling his sister's cheek, which was usually against his nature. "{Let's go home and relax for a while. You can show all your friends at school tomorrow how advanced you are already!}"

Sighing, Luna transformed back to her human self. "I guess you're right. Guess I just have a habit of overworking myself, huh?" The group began their descent to the bottom of the hill, walking back to the house while making small talk.

"{Think of it like this: you learned ten moves in the span of a few hours! Most Pokemon can only learn four at a time, and yet you, partially human, know ten. You're already way ahead of everybody else!}" Midnight reassured Luna, resting on her shoulders.

"I guess you're right, but still. My Dark Pulse is more of a Dark Beam, during Quick Attack I lose control of my direction and usually go ramming my head into something, when I use Shadow Ball it's much smaller than it should be. The strength in my Tackle is lacking, and my Swift stars disappear after just a few seconds! You saw my Fire Blast failure, and though Will-O-Wisp was relatively successful, the less-than-ideal Ember proved my skills otherwise. Don't even get me started on when I tried to use Psychic or Confusion..."

"{Luna, you've had hardly a few hours of practice! Don't worry, you'll be using them like a professional in no time! Remember all those years we spent practicing our moves to become the very best? Now we're training you, and I know you'll do wonderfully!}" Snow Queen countered, reminding her of all the days in their youth when moves would fail, but instead of giving up they'd try and try some more.

A bit more cheerful after her sibling's reassurance, Luna smiled softly, ears and tail swaying in the breeze. "You're right, guys. Maybe I'm not the best yet, but we're going to be the best Pokemon Masters the world has ever seen. We're champions for goodness sake! Tomorrow we'll work even harder, and the day after that, and so forth. Once we're through, we'll be the very best, like no one ever was!"

"{That's the spirit, sis!}" Henri exclaimed, padding beside his trainer and sister as they approached the house.

        "That it is."
