Luna and her family had spent most of the night playing on the beach, bonding after days of not seeing one another. By the time it was about 3 am, Luna realized she still had school in the morning. "Shoot, class starts in only a few hours! We're hardly going to get any sleep!"

The Eeveelutions stopped what they were doing to check the moon's position in the sky, realizing it had shifted quite a lot since they first arrived. "{You're right, Luna, dear. Let's head back to the vacation house and catch some shut-eye so we can be well-rested in the morning.}" Raven suggested.

"{Good idea. Race you, Middy!}" Torch challenged, already pelting back towards the road, his bushy tail waving wildly behind him.

"{Oh you're on, little Flareon!}" The Umbreon retorted, chasing after her older, yet shorter, brother. Her lean legs propelled her forward, leaving the others to follow behind.

Thunderclap stood up next to Luna, looking up at her. "{Feel like chasing after those two?}" He asked, stretching his legs.

"You bet!" She exclaimed, shifting into Pokemon form. With a yowl, she charged after her two siblings, the rest taking the cue to run after them. The Jolteon easily passed her as well as Torch and Midnight, with Raven and Amber coming up behind them. Poseidon, Henri, and Elise opted to stay behind with their somewhat-human sister, instead talking between one another as they neared their shelter.

Luna's mom was nowhere to be seen once they arrived, probably fast asleep in her room. With a sigh, Luna stepped into her room and collapsed on the bed, with Midnight and Raven beside her. The other seven instead chose to sleep on the couch or the lounge chairs, content.

"Alright class. Now that everyone's arrived, the Principal has a special lesson planned for you today!" Professor Kukui exclaimed. All the students, as well as their Pokemon, turned to the now-open door to see Samson Oak. He stepped in, waving to the children.

"Good morning, everyone! Today is the long-awaited time when the exeggcute Ash brought here will be brought into the light." He pulled out three containers from his bag, setting them in a row on the table so that the students could see. "I'll take care of one, while the other two will be managed by your class!"

Luna stared at them: one a reddish-brown, the next pale brownish pink with purple and green patterns that resembled flowers or snowflakes, and the last a light blue and gold one with stars. "Which two do we get to take care of!?" Mallow asked, excited at the chance of taking care of eggs.

"I think that should be up to you kids, eh Principal?" Kukui replied, looking at the other adult.

Oak grinned. "Sounds like a perfect idea. Mew-Two of these eggs I know what might hatch into, but the third arrived mysteriously from an Unown source, so I'll let you figure out which of them Star-you want to keep."

"I think Lillie should pick one, seeing as she is afraid of touching Pokemon! Getting to take care of an egg might help relieve her fear!" Mallow exclaimed, nudging the blonde beside her. Lillie stuttered, flustered at having her Poke-phobia brought up, before standing up with puffed cheeks.

She pointed at the middle one, which she came to realize was cool to the touch. "I-I think I'll watch this one."

"Now, who should Pikipek the other?" Oak probed.

When Midnight began poking her feet repeatedly, Luna sighed, standing up. "If no one else will choose, I say we take care of the new mysterious one. The other two seem to be Vul-"

"-A mystery, dear. They will stay a mystery until they hatch. But yes, you may take care of the last one. I'm sure whatever hatches from it will become great friends with you all. Show them lots of Luv-disc and Lu-care-io! Farewell!" Oak said before scooping the red egg up and beginning to leave the room. "Luna, could you come here a second?" He asked his cousin's granddaughter before stepping into the hall.

"Uhh, sure?" Luna answered following him with a what did I do wrong? look on her face. She could hear Kukui awkwardly clear his throat before explaining to the others how to care for eggs. She and her Eeveelution family arrived in the hall to see a troubled Oak.

"How did you know what Pokemon were in the first two eggs? And what ever happened to give your ears, wings, and a tail?" He asked politely, examining them from a distance.

Ohhhh, she thought. "Oh, yeah, these. Since I can Mega Evolve my Pokemon, joining our minds, and Synchro-Evolve aka use the 'bond phenonenon', joining our hearts, when we used the Z-Move Tapu Koko gifted us with, my and Midnight's souls joined and I transformed into a Pokemon! Even in human form, I still have the ears, wings, and tail, as well as an enhanced sense of smell and hearing. Your egg and Lillie's egg are clearly Vulpixes, though I'm guessing hers is the Alolan variant. Like you said, the third one is a total mystery; I don't at all recognize it!"

"Ahh, that explains a lot. In all my years I've never heard of a Pokemon trainer capable of all three techniques; Mega, Synchro, and Z-Move. You and your Pokemon seem to be something else! In that case, I think you taking care of the mystery egg will be wonderful!" He murmured in awe. "Go On-ix back to class and enjoy your day, now!"

Smiling as they walked back inside to take a seat, Luna realized someone had put the mystery egg on her desk. As Kukui continued to ramble about egg care, she whispered to Torch. "Keep this warm for me, please! The more warmth we show it, the sooner it'll hatch!"

"Luna, is there something you would like to share with the class?" The Professor teased, watching the girl's cheeks turn a bright shade of red.

"I-I was just asking Torch to keep the egg warm so it'll be comfortable and more willing to hatch!" She defended nervously, trying to ignore everyone looking at her.

Chuckling, Kukui grinned. "A perfect example of caring for eggs. Pokemon with abilities like Flame Body, Magma Armor, or warm Fire-Type Pokemon in general will help most species of Pokemon hatch quicker. In the case with Lillie's egg, which seems to enjoy cold much more, this might not be true."

Relieved that the Professor praised her instead of chastising her, Luna settled more comfortably into her seat, ears perked, to listen to his lecture.
