SOOOOOOO sorry this was late! A combination of getting sick and the stress of finals made me completely forget to upload the weekly chapter,  but good news! I'm feeling better and the chapter has now arrived!

"You mean to tell me Rockruff is a wild Pokemon, not Professor Kukui's!?" This came as a shock to everyone, but to Luna the most. Rockruff followed him around like, well, a lovesick puppy! And now Ash was getting to catch him!?

Kukui went on to explain how he and Rockruff met as Midnight and Lunalox showed the other Pokemon their training progress. However, Luna's half brother said he wanted to wait to be able to catch the little pup Pokemon, who had finally learned how to use Rock Throw with the help of Cloudy and Kiawe, along with Ash and Pikachu, obviously, until Rockruff won at Clawmark Hill.

Rotom Dex seemed bewildered by the fact that the boy's obscene training idea actually worked out, but was even more shocked when Luna told them about Lunalox. "We figured out that she is able to learn a huge variety of moves so long as she sees a Pokemon attempt to use it and I command her to."

"That's almost like a Smeargle, who can use Sketch to learn any move out there!" Sophocles exclaimed.

"Mhmm, I guess it is," she mused. "Alright, Lunalox, let's show them what we've got! Powder Snow on the sand, then use Rock Throw to break the ice!"

Lunalox did as told, successfully pulling off her move combination.

"Now, Double Team, then use Bite on the copies!" The canine hatchling suddenly duplicated herself with a wide grin, then running around and snapping her jaws around each one as they dissipated.

The other students clapped as Lunalox walked back to stand proudly beside her trainer.

"I'm thoroughly impressed by your actions today, Luna and Ash. Why don't we head home for the day and regroup tomorrow in the classroom? Luna, you're welcome to come see how Rockruff does at Clawmark Hill tonight," Professor Kukui announced, allowing his students home a bit early.

"Come on Midnight, Lunalox, let's go show the others what we found!" Luna exclaimed.

That night, she and her two aforementioned partners raced to the Professor's house, where they met Ash, Kukui, Rotom Dex, and Rockruff. "Hey little guy, ready for your big battle?" She asked the pup.

"{Yep! Ash and I trained really super duper hard, so I'm gonna try my best!}" Rockruff replied happily, running ahead to make it on time.

Luna watched him go before Professor Kukui lead the way through the forest. Lunalox skipped alongside her trainer's heels, while Midnight leapt up to sit on Luna's shoulder. Pikachu stayed on Ash's shoulder while they made their way closer to the canyon.

Finally, the large dip in the terrain appeared, and the humans took their places on the edge beside their Pokemon.

At the bottom, Rockruff glanced up at them with a grin before padding up to the Magmar that had defeated it the previous night, indicating it wanted to have a rematch.

Magmar stood up tall, flexing its muscles before taking a stance a few paces away from Rockruff. The Fire-Type wasted no time using a Flamethrower, but Rockruff was able to dodge thanks to training.

Rockruff used Tackle to knock Magmar back, but it immediately countered, knocking the pup back. However, the little Rock-Type remained strong, landing on its paws. Nimbly it dodged another Flamethrower and jumped into the air, rocks around its neck glowing.

Before the Rock Throw could hit, Magmar used Rockruff's immobility in the air to blast it with yet another Flamethrower. Even thought it was injured by this, Luna watched in anticipation as it stood up once more.

This time, the Rock Throw managed to hit, which seemed to shock Magmar. It tried to knock its opponent back, but Rockruff was faster and more agile, able to dodge every attack the Fire-Type sent and responded with more Rock Throws.

And just like that, it was over. Rockruff beat Magmar.

Ash and Luna high-fived one another, silently cheering for the small Pokemon's victory. At that moment, Rockruff looked back up at them with a proud grin and let out a long howl, just like the two Lycanroc had before.

Kukui lead the way back to the house, through the forest, when Rockruff ran up behind them. It tackled Ash, knocking him over with an "Oof!"

Rockruff was panting, and drool was hanging from its mouth, but Ash lifted it up. "You did it, Rockruff! I'm so proud, you used everything you learned and won!"

"Are you going to catch him now, Ash?" Luna asked.

He stood up, Rockruff in his arms. "Would you like that, Rockruff?"

"{Yes! Yes yes yes!!}" It cried, rubbing the rocks on its neck against him. "{Be my trainer!}"

"Alright." He reached into his bag for a Pokeball and held it out. "Pokeball, go!"

Rockruff was enveloped in a flash of light, and the sphere wiggled three times before momentarily glowing, then stopping.

"Yeah! I caught a Rockruff!" He exclaimed, reaching for the Pokeball and bringing Rockruff back out. "Great to see you again, buddy. Now, let's go home, shall we?"
