"Did anyone ever teach you the Normalium Z pose?" Professor Kukui asked before the battle. Luna nodded, demonstrating the pose, ending in the Z shape. "Alright, just remember they can only be used once per battle, and they take a lot of energy to use, so be cautious and choose the moment right."

"I'll keep it in mind, Professor," she said before turning to the battlefield. Kukui went to stand on the side to be referee, while Ash, Cloudy, Pikachu, Rotom Dex, and most of the Eeveelutions sat on the sidelines. Amber was on Luna's left side, getting ready for battle.

"We're ready to go, Kahuna!" Professor Kukui exclaimed from the sidelines.

Hala and his partner Hariyama nodded from the sidelines. "As are we, Professor." He stepped up to the battlefield, directly across from Luna.

"Attention, competitors. The Grand Trial between Kahuna Hala and the challenger, Luna Oak-Ketchum Fox, is noew prepared to get under way!" Kukui announced.

"It's truly an honor to battle you!" Both Luna and Hala exclaimed at once.

"This will be a single battle, with two Pokemon as the maximum. You may begin."

Luna turned to her Leafeon sister. "You've got this, sis. Just like we talked about."

Amber nodded solemnly before leaping forward to face Kahuna Hala's Pokemon, Crabrawler. As Ash stared at it questioningly, Rotom Dex grinned. "It's my greatest pleasure! Crabrawler, the Boxing Pokemon. A Fighting-Type. Crabrawler is always aiming to be number one. Crabrawler will guard its weak spots with its claws in battle and throw punches looking for an opening."

"Thanks, Rotom Dex!" Luna called from the battlefield. "Amber, start with Swords Dance!"

"Crabrawler, use Bubble Beam!" Kahuna Hala commanded. His Pokemon jumped up and prepared to launch a flurry of bubbles. Amber dodged them gracefully, dancing with swords around her to increase her attacking power.

"Good, now use Aerial Ace!" The Leafeon used her powerful legs to jump up and over her opponent before slashing it, knocking the Pokemon backwards. "Again!"

The people and Pokemon spectating cheered. "It was super effective!" Rotom Dex sang.

"Grab that Leafeon!" Hala shouted. "Now use Brutal Swing!"

As Amber neared to use her move, Crabrawler stretched out its claws, suddenly attaching itself to her before swinging her into the air enough to make anyone dizzy. It then let go, throwing her into the air. "Amber!" Luna called swiftly. "While you're up there with the strong sunlight, use Solar Beam before using Magical Leaf to parachute down safely!!"

As Kahuna Hala and Crabrawler stared up at the sky, trying to pinpoint the Eeveelution's location, a long, powerful Grass-Type move shot down, smacking Crabrawler for lots of damage. As Amber's next move made her fall softly to the ground, Hala didn't hesitate.
