Chapter 32- The Strongest (Alolan) Challenger Yet!

A bit of a filler for the big grand trial buildup, but it's not without a reason!

I'm going to stop my weird indents at the beginning of each paragraph (transferring from Word documents to wattpad, I wasn't used to not having a working tab key) but it's time consuming to indent each time so we're gonna start with regular ol paragraphs! Hope the formatting change doesn't mess with anybody. This will also line up with my formatting of Colors in the Dark, love ya my fox kits!

The next morning, Luna was the first to wake, like usual. She made breakfast for everyone and set up plates, deciding to go explore and come up with a plan for the battle before leaving for it. Officer Jenny wasn't due for another hour yet, so she had plenty of time.

Shifting to Pokemon form, she ran into the forest beside her house, stopping at a little creek for a drink of fresh water before trotting deeper in. There were all sorts of exotic plants she had never seen before, alongside things like berry bushes she knew well.

There was a cry behind her, but not one of pain. Instead, it was one Luna recognized. "Tapu Koko? What are you doing here?"

The Island Guardian floated down to eye level with her. "Let me see your Z-Crystals."

"Um, okay?" She said, slipping the Normalium Z from her Z-Ring with her teeth and dropping it into his palm before reaching to get her Forbidium Z. "Why do you need them?"

Tapu Koko didn't answer her, instead holding the left side of the Forbidium Z and the right side of the Normalium Z with his corresponding hands. A light began to emerge from them, until he placed them both back into one hand and gave them back.

Luna took one in each paw, looking to see what he had done. The Forbidium Z's shiny Umbreon face had disappeared on the left side, instead becoming a pitch black while retaining Forbidium Z design on the right. The Normalium's right side had stayed the same, while the left side had the left half of an Eevee face on it.

"Your bonds with your Pokemon are unique, and they each will have their own Z-Crystals in due time. However, it would be unfair to remove all possibility of you using the general Z-Moves. Follow my movements. I will teach you how to perform each dance."

"Wow, thank you, Tapu Koko!" Luna exclaimed, realizing her Forbidium Z now doubled as a Darkinium Z, while her Normalium Z doubled as an Eevium Z.

She watched the island guardian first perform the Normalium/Eevium dance, stretching his arms out before aiming them diagonal from one another, then crossing them to form a Z shape in front of him. Luna followed along, mimicking him.

Then, he demonstrated the official Darkinium/Forbidium dance, first corssing his arms and extending them to signify activating the Z-Crystal, then bending down as if touching the toes he didn't have. He moved from left to right to left as he stood back up, before reaching his arms up over his head, angled outwards like a zombie, and making a 'scary' face.
