Chapter 1- Alola!

        A girl with a vibrant bikini let out a cry of joy as she stretched her arms out. The wind rushed in her face, blowing her hair back, as she surfed on the back of the Mantine. The shiny Umbreon on her shoulders was enjoying herself as well. "Umbre! Breon, breon!"

        As the Mantine went to spin in the air, the girl crouched down, holding onto her Umbreon with one hand, and the Mantine with the other. They spun in midair, splashing water everywhere as they landed.

        "Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee! This is so much fun, isn't it Midnight?" The girl shouted into the vast world around her, ocean on all sides. She could see Melemele Island approaching, so she didn't have too much time until she had to return to her vacation house, but that didn't mean she couldn't have fun until then.

        She let go of the Mantine and reached up towards the sky, loving the feeling of sunlight on her face as she surfed on the Water-Type Pokemon. The girl's Umbreon shook out her black and blue fur, drying off quickly in the bright Alolan sun. They reached the end of the ride, arriving at the Melemele Island's Big Wave Beach.

        "That was so much fun! Thanks for the ride, Mantine!" The girl said to the Pokemon, patting its head before turning to leave. Midnight let out a cry of thanks as the two left, the shiny Pokemon following the girl.

        "Hey mom, we're back from the ride!" The girl called, walking into her vacation house with her Umbreon beside her.

        "Welcome back, Luna! How was it? I take it you're enjoying Alola?" her mom responded, smiling as she sipped some Roserade Tea.

        The girl, Luna, twirled around. "It was wonderful! Mantine could do so many tricks, and the wind was amazing! Alola is so great!" she exclaimed, her Umbreon chirping happily in agreement. "Umbre!! Umbreon, Umbre, Umbre!"

        Luna's mom nodded. "That's great honey. Do you want to rest for now, or do you want to go out and explore more...? Actually, your grandfather's cousin lives around here. I think he said he works at the Pokemon School now? If you're feeling up to it, you should go check it out! Or, if you don't mind, I could come with you!"

        "That sounds like a blast, mom! We should go see it. Thanks for getting this vacation!" The girl exclaimed. "Let's go!"

        Her mom chuckled. "I think you ought to change first, honey." Luna looked down to realize that she was still in her wet bathing suit, and laughed.

        "Right, mom. Thanks!" She exclaimed as she ran into her room to change into fresh, dry clothes. She slid on a flower-patterned crop top and a skirt, looking in the mirror and striking a pose.

        "Umbre!" Midnight said sassily, striking a pose behind Luna with an oversized pair of sunglasses on.

         The girl laughed, taking the sunglasses off the Pokemon and tossing them onto her desk. "C'mon, girl. Let's go see the Pokemon School."

        "Woah, you can ride Pokemon to get around anywhere here?" Luna asked excitedly.

        "Yes, dear, they have a variety of Pokemon that can be called upon to ride, like that Mantine you surfed on! Isn't that lovely?" Her mom responded as they climbed onto a ride Tauros, Midnight perched on Luna's shoulders again.

        They headed off on the Pokemon, going a steady pace down the route. When they were almost there, Luna's mom saw a bush of berries, and brought Tauros to a halt.

         "Thank you for the ride, Tauros. Luna, look! Berries! What a perfect gift to give to my once-removed cousin Samson and the other trainers at the school!" She exclaimed happily, reaching in her bag to pull out a small basket. "You can help me pick berries, or go explore the area with Midnight, get to know the island better! Just stay safe, and come back in a little while."

        Time to explore! Hooray! Luna thought, beaming. "Alright, thanks mom! Come on Midnight, let's go see what Pokemon are out and about!"

        Her Umbreon leapt off her shoulder once she got off the Tauros, instead standing next to her on the ground. "Umbreon!"

        The two walked into the woods, looking around until they saw a wild Pokemon.
