(Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more.)

Sorry this one was posted so late, but it's here now so I'll keep this note short. Feels ahead!

The next morning, Luna made breakfast for her family and her Pokemon, up bright and early. After all that, she luckily remembered to bring her report to school and turned it in, getting full credit. Accompanied by only Lunalox and Midnight for the day- Gleam wasn't feeling well, so she stayed home- she didn't actually mind the lectures on battling techniques and moves.

(Half because she got to give the class her insight on a variety of battling scenarios and how to get through them, and half because the Professor made a list of moves that were first documented in Alola, many of which were, for a time, only known by Alolan Pokemon, and details about them. Meaning she could possibly see if her siblings could learn any so they could teach her- some of them had some really cool effects, like breaking screens, hitting multiple opponents, or creating terrains in battle like Tapu Koko's Electric Surge.)

(She was sure Raven could probably learn Psychic Fangs if she tried, and Tyrant would adore trying Stomping Tantrum out. That wasn't even mentioning Brutal Swing, which Tyrant, along with Gust and Blaze, would probably never stop trying to one-up each other with, given their competitive natures. Nightshade would probably learn it as well, but he was more suited to silent-but-deadly tactics instead of strength bragging.)

"Luna, can you repeat what I just said?" Kukui asked, snapping the brunette from her daydream. Her face warmed up since she, admittedly, had been thinking so hard she hadn't heard him, but remembered him talking about Alolan moves.

As she spent a few seconds in silence, aware of everyone else staring at her, Midnight nudged her. Using Psychic, the shiny Umbreon told her, "He was talking about Z-Moves being classified as Alolan moves as well, and how they compare to regular moves."

"Sure!" She said with false confidence, smiling at her teacher. "Sorry I looked so spaced out; you were comparing Z-Moves, which are also considered Alola-exclusive moves, to others first discovered in the region."

He raised an eyebrow, but nodded. "That is correct..."

Luna waited until he turned back to the board to send Midnight a thankful glance. It took her a few moments to establish a psychic link between them like Raven had taught her, but after a couple tries and concentration, she was able to send a message back to her sister's mind. "Thanks. I would have looked like an idiot, spacing out in class there despite being champion of multiple regions."

"I've always got your back, Lu," Midnight replied, nuzzling against her leg under the desk.

She turned her attention back to Kukui, listening to the rest of the lesson.

Once the day was over, Luna was happy to get out of the classroom, much preferring hands-on lessons where they got to go outside and battle or search for Pokemon compared to the dreary lectures inside.
