If any of you remember those plot-diagram things we had to make for stories in middle school, this event is right at the top- we're at the last leg of the build-up and then we've reached the climax, everyone! Though, we'll still have to find out who our newest mysterious character is, and how our heroes will be saved...

James and Meowth led the group to the Rocket base, motioning for everyone to stay low as they neared it. From the outside it was unassuming enough as what looked to be a few-stories-tall office building, but the red letter R atop the arching doorway and the bars on some of the windows said otherwise.

"This is the place," he told them softly. "Everyone ready?"

He was met with dozens of nods or quiet cries of agreement and nodded. "Alright. Midnight, Meowth, we're up."

James stepped out from the forest, approaching the building with his Meowth and the shiny Umbreon at his side, the latter sure to put on an act to appear submissive and scared for her life. They walked up to the door where two grunts were standing guard.

"Morning," he greeted them with a duck of his head, preparing to walk in.

"Oi, Jamesie, where'd you get that little thing?" One of the stopped him, looking down at Midnight. "Those things is pretty rare."

The purple-haired member put on his best haughty expression. "I nabbed it from some unsuspecting trainer. It hardly put up a fight! I'm taking it to the Boss. If he's pleased enough, maybe I can get a raise."

The other one looked up from his phone, where he'd been playing some arcade game app. "You're outta luck buddy; Boss ran out a little while ago for some high-priority mission. Something about catching legendaries."

"Really? Well, I'll be inside waiting for him to come back. Have a nice day," he said, acting surprised before walking into the hideout and motioning for Meowth and Midnight to follow.

Once they were in the clear, they quickly made their way to the elevator and pressed the button for the floor they wanted. It'd be best to access the control room first, disable the cameras and, if possible, some of the locks and restraints keeping Luna and the others trapped. As they stepped out into the hallway in one of the lower floors, James leading them through the maze of identical paths through memory alone, the alarm suddenly went off.

"Attention all grunts! There has been a large-scale attack at the entrance. Requesting backup from all available persons!"

With the red lights flashing and the loud ringing of the alarm, James picked up the pace until he and the two Pokemon were running, nearly crashing into another grunt in the process.

"James! What are you doing here?"

"I'm rounding up everyone I can to get to the situation upstairs! A group of trainers and feral Pokemon are just going at our defenses! Tell everyone you see to hurry it up!" He exclaimed, already running past them.

The process was repeated for a few more people he saw, nearly smirking after each one scurried away. By the time he reached the security room, there was only one person left in there, though he was scrolling through the cameras and yelling things into his walkie talkie.

"You there! They need backup upstairs! I'll handle things here, alright? Go!" James shouted, practically shooing him out before slamming and locking the door behind him. Midnight jumped up onto one of the chairs, looking at all the camera screens, buttons, levers, and lights.

"{How are we supposed to work this thing!?}"

Meowth didn't seem to know either, randomly flicking things and looking to see if anything changed.

James took another chair and looked out across everything quickly. "We need to find the cams for the cells downstairs. Meowth, that little controller on your left? Nudge that until we find them. Midnight, I need you to find the big red emergency button. It'll cut the power from all the holding areas where prisoners and Pokemon are kept and undo the chains"

His eyes darted from camera to camera as they switched screens, finally landing on the one he wanted.

"There!" The screen showed a rather low-quality feed of the girl in her Pokemon form staring wide-eyed up at the flashing lights, her ears folded as the alarm's rings bounced around the small room, and Lunalox wasn't faring much better. The Hydreigon was struggling against its bonds, thrashing and clawing as it finally ripped through one of them. "Midnight, now!"

The shiny Umbreon used Sucker Punch with unsheathed claws on it, shattering the protective glass and pressing the button.

Suddenly the restraints tying Luna and the other prisoners to the floors snapped open, though James noticed with a jolt of fear that the other ones, such as the ones around their wings or necks, were still attached. Instantly they were up and pounding on the doors to knock them down, using different moves on the locked doors.

"Let's go!" He called, hurrying out the door and toward the elevator in the back of the building- the others would likely have other people in them racing up to the first floor, but most people didn't know about the other one, since it was for bringing in supplies and not much else. "To the service elevator! Hurry!"

"Alert! There has been a security breach in the control room. Take caution: holding cell prisoners have been freed. Initiating lockdown protocol."

James cursed under his breath as they reached the elevator. Even as they pressed the down button, the doors didn't open. "Damn it! Lockdown shuts off the elevators! Come on, we can still take the stairs!"

He, Midnight, and Meowth raced down more hallways and to the door leading to the stairs, taking them three at a time as they further descended into the hideout. I have no idea how we're going to escape from here... Let's hope Luna has another one of her on-the-spot plans to help get us out!

By the time they reached the floor they had seen her on and burst out of the door, all three of them were exhausted- even Midnight, who trained specifically for endurance tasks like such. She was still standing and ready to fight, but her body wasn't built for speed, especially not long periods of it.

Once again James was in the lead, but neither Pokemon was far behind, weaving through more and more halls until they finally found the door to her room. "Meowth, Fury Swipes!"

The cat-like Pokemon did so at the same time Midnight used a full-power Dark Pulse, the door completely knocked in. They looked in, but as the dust cleared, Luna, Lunalox, and Hydreigon weren't inside.

Instead, they were met by a girl with long, straight black hair and shining indigo eyes. She was dressed in a rather simple purple shirt with jeans, but an extravagant black and silver cloak draped over her dramatically. She sat with one leg crossed over the other, a sickeningly-delighted smirk on her pale face.

"Hello, James. Meowth. Midnight. I... am Moon."
