Definitely a longer one! Hope you guys enjoy, I put a lot of work into this! I've gotta go, we're going on a weekend vacation for my grandparents' birthdays, but I've written a few chapters in advance so 20 along with the content winners will be out on time!

"Why are you doing this, Alain?" She asked him.

"You know the answer," he replied simply. "I'm proving myself as the real strongest trainer out there. Not a faint-heart. Not a coward. A strong champion, and a master of Mega Evolution."

Luna stared at him. There wasn't anything she could do. He'd track her to the end of the Earth just to fight her and win.

"I accept your challenge. Midnight v. Charizard. Let's go." The shiny Umbreon gave her an apprehensive look before nodding and walking to face Alain.

They had slowly shifted over next to a battlefield, which was open. Alain mock-bowed with a sly grin. "Ladies first."

This time, Luna just hung her head and walked past, not even putting him in his place with her wings, taking her place on the other side of the battlefield. Midnight followed her, with Torch doing the same except for sitting on the sideline instead.

He gave his younger sisters a nod of good luck before lying down, head resting on his orange paws.

Alain reached to his belt and retrieved his Charizard's Pokeball, releasing the nearly-6-foot-tall evolved starter, who roared to the sky upon being sent out. It stood up to full height and looked down at Luna.

"{Her again? This isn't a league rematch, is it?}" It asked, though obviously no on except Luna and the other Pokemon could understand him.

"Alain challenged me to a battle and is forcing me to accept, Charizard," she told it, knowing the winged lizard hated its trainer's emotionless quest of strength as much as she did.

Before it or Alain could ask her how she understood Charizard or who she was talking to, she and Midnight shared a look. "Synchro-Mega Evolve, use Double Team and Dark Pulse!"

As the shiny Umbreon's transformation began, Alain smirked. "You recognize me as a threat, so you aren't holding back."

"No, I just want to get this over with as soon as possible," Luna huffed.

"Alright then, be like that. Charizard, Mega Evolve!" Alain shouted, resting a hand on his Mega Ring as his orange Pokemon turned black and blue. "Focus on the real Midnight, deflect the Dark Pulse with Flamethrower and then use Thunder Punch!"

As copies of Midnight appeared around, all forming a move, Charizard spun to the one behind him and used Flamethrower in a circle, destroying all the fakes and causing an explosion where the real Dark Pulse met it.

Before the dust even cleared, Charizard sent an electrical uppercut through the air, with Midnight just being able to jump back in time. "{They've gotten even faster than last time, and more observant, too!}" She cried.
