Luna let the Ghost-Type energy manifest in the sphere hovering over her paw before sending it up and letting it disperse. Not long ago she was hardly able to use the move, but enough training with Midnight had quickly eliminated her disadvantage as she worked to perfect it.

"Lunalox, the move you used in the battle with Courtney was unlike anything I'd ever seen before, leading me to believe it's a new move, exclusive to you. It's incredibly powerful, but you probably know better than all of us how much it backfired, which I think it due to a lack of practice and control," she stated matter-of-factly.

She summoned another Shadow Ball, but this time forced herself to let go of her strict, masterful control over the move. It instantly dissipated, not to mention practically shocking her paw.

"As you can see," Luna continued, "without proper control, any move can lead to harm on the user. I learned that the hard way while training as a Pokemon for the first few times, and reckless carelessness can lead to accidents and injuries. So this training will be about mastering control and precision over moves. Repeatedly using them, testing our stamina, and improving!"

The canid Pokemon pumped her own paw into the air. "{Yeah! Power in pwacticing!}"

As she chuckled, Luna noticed Gleam holding in one herself. "You're exactly right. Why don't you try using your Rock Throw to hit this target." Luna took a few steps away and used her wing to draw a decent-sized circle in the sand, another one inside it, and a final one in the center. "Aim for the middle, and once you've got it down, try from further away or even up in the air!"

She then turned to her shiny Gardevoir.

"And Gleam, while Lunalox works on her own, why don't we spar, get our blood pumping and then see what we can improve on?"

The Pokemon in question bowed her head. "{Of course. I look forward to seeing what kinds of moves you have honed since unlocking a Pokemon form.}"

They stepped a bit away from Lunalox, who began forming rocks and launching them at the target with varying success, though it obviously wasn't as easy as the young Pokemon thought it looked- she locked her jaw and began launching them with a bit more force than before.

Meanwhile, Luna and Gleam, now a few paces apart, counted down. "Three, two, one... begin!"

At once, Gleam hovered in the air with her Psychic-Type power, eyes faintly glowing as she telekinetically lifted Luna in the air, as if to freeze her in place. The brown-furred Pokegirl retaliated with a Confusion, which was just effective enough to break her opponent's concentration, allowing her to slip free and land easily back on the sand.

From there, she focused on her bond with Poseidon, the water making up her very body. A decent-sized Water Gun formed, which Luna directed toward Gleam, blasting the jet with fine-tuned pressure. Of course, the shiny Gardevoir was able to dodge most of it, but the high-pressure attack managed to hit one of her legs, leaving the skin there raw.

Luna smirked at her opponent, tail lashing from the excitement. They locked eyes before launching at one another (again) with attacks at the ready. Gleam tried to use Moonblast, but Luna formed Protect around herself before whirling around to attempt a Buzzy Buzz. However, her battling partner touched down on the ground for only a moment before springing back up, dodging and looking back down as she formed a Shadow Ball.

The attack was once again met with a Protect, as the Gardevoir made her elegant descent, though Luna grit her teeth and put distance between them before she could get hit with something like Hyper Voice. She focused on her breathing and her Gardevoir's movements, trying to remain as level and calm as she could.

When Gleam flicked her palm, a half dozen glowing leaves appearing around her, Luna lowered her head close to the sand, raising her hackles and tail, ears purposefully back. As the leaves turned, locking onto their target, and began to race forward, Luna pushed up from her bunches muscles, sucking in a deep breath before exhaling a large Fire Blast, which luckily incinerated the brunt of the attack- the last few leaves only left shallow scratches, which Luna hardly felt enough to mind the sting.

Focus Blast met a barrage of Swift stars, the Psychic- and Fairy-Type shiny getting knocked off guard with a Quick Attack/Bouncy Bubble combination that helped Luna regain some of her lost vitality, followed by a Thunderbolt making its mark and nearly knocking the brunette-furred battler out then and there.

Luna shook it off with a harsh shake of her pelt and a growl, ignoring her Pokemon's sincere look of concern as she used Magnet Rise to hover above the ground, the height working to her advantage as she partnered it with a Fairy Wind that managed to completely deter Gleam's Will-O-Wisp.

"{Are you sure you don't want to take a break?}" The shiny Gardevoir finally asked, and Luna internally cursed when she noticed her ragged breathing and trembling limbs. She grit her teeth against the exhaustion that was already threatening to overwhelm her, fighting against nature like she did so often- why she could never train alone, since she always pushed herself too far.

As the magnetic force holding her up began to weaken and she reluctantly faltered back down to the sand, she stared up at Gleam. "I'm just getting started!"
