Mitch's Kanto Journey

The Legend Of Hypno

                     A view of a small seaside town is shown as it pans down to show the entrance to the town. A sign at the entrance reads " Welcome to Khaki Town." ( Insert State Farm joke here) It then pans up to show the Khaki Town Pokémon Center and inside it, Mitch sets in a recliner looking at his map of the Kanto Region. Based on what is shown on the map, Khaki Town should be Mitch's last stop on the mainland before he begins his ocean journey to Cinnabar Island and there are actually many other islands that he can stop to rest on while on his way there, which is great news since Mitch has decided to cross the ocean using his Pokémon.( Mostly riding on Charizard) 

                 " Excuse, Mitch, your Pokémon are back to full health," Nurse Joy says as she walks up to the counter with a tray of 6 balls, five regular Poke Balls and one Safari Ball. " Thanks, Nurse Joy," Mitch happily says as he puts 4 of the Poke Balls and the Safari Ball away before he throws the fifth Poke Ball into the air. " Zaaaard, Zard, Charizard," Charizard shouts as it comes out of its ball and turns to face its trainer. " Ready to head out to sea," Mitch asks as his Starter smiles and nods in agreement and they begin to walk towards the exit. " Excuse me, Mitch, but are you planning to cross the ocean by flying away from the beach here in Khaki Town? Most trainers go a few miles west down the beach and away from the town before they try to and if anyone here in Khaki Town wants to go swimming they do the exact same thing," Nurse Joy explains. " Why is that," a confused Mitch asks as Charizard roars a " Zaard?"  " Well, the east side of the beach is covered in a lot of rocky terrain and it is believed that a bunch of interconnected caves exist in that rocky terrain. For about a decade or so, a Wild Hypno has aggressively guarded that area of the beach and the area around it and attacks almost anyone that goes to that area of the beach," she explains as Mitch nods and Charizard nod in understanding as Mitch looks up Hypno on his Pokedex. " Hypno, the Hypnosis Pokémon, the Evolved Form of Drowzee, while it is an extremely dangerous Pokemon, people who are in need of a good, sound sleep call it their savior." " Doesn't seen so tough to me. I think we can handle it," Mitch said as Charizard eagerly grins.

                  Mitch and Charizard stand at the water's edge and breathe in the smell of the salt and ocean water. " Okay, are you ready to g," before Mitch has time to finish his sentence, a Psybeam hits the ground a couple of inches from them. " Hyyyyyppppnoooooo," a very large ( this Hypno is Totem Sized) and aggressively looking Hypno yells. " So, you're the Hypno we heard about. You look tougher than I thought you would be, but I'll still take you on. Charizard, Use Flamethrower!" " Chaaaaarizaaaaaaard," It shouts as it runs forward and shoots the attack out of its mouth and Hypno fires another Psybeam from the hole in the middle of its pendulum. The Medium sized stream of fire and beam of pink psychic collide and explode, creating a small cloud of smoke. " Hypnnooooo," it shouts as it jumps through the smoke and hits Charizard in the face with its glowing white left arm. Charizard is only temporarily knocked back by the Pound attack as Mitch yells, " Use Fire Punch!" " Zaaaaaaaard," it shouts as it slams its fire covered fist into Hypno's face causing in to stumble backwards as it yells " Hyyyyyyp," in pain. 

                      " Hyyyyyypnooooo," it shouts as it summons a ball of dark black energy in front of its pendulum and fires it at Charizard. " Counter that Shadow Ball with Metal Claw and then use Dragon Claw," Mitch shouts. " Zaaaaaaaaard," it shouts as it uses its metal covered left claws to slice through and destroy the Shadow Ball before slashing Hypno across the chest with its purple energy covered right claws. "Pnnoooo," it shout as it clutches its chest in pain and Mitch yells, " Use Fire Fang!" " Zaaaaaaaard," it shouts as it bites down on Hypno's right shoulder with its fire coated teeth. " Hyyyyypnooooo," it shouts in pain as it holds its right hand out and covers it with reddish purple energy. The hand grows a little larger before Hypno slaps Charizard very hard across the face with it. " Chaaaaaaaar," it shouts as the Wake-Up Slap sends it stumbling backwards a few feet. " Hyyyyyyyypnoooooooo," it shouts as it begins to surround its body with white energy. Eventually, that energy forms the outline of a larger Hypno around its body before it jumps forward and slams its entire body into Charizard. " Zaaaaaaaaaaard," it shouts as the powerful attack sends it flying backwards and it lands very hard on the sandy ground next to Mitch. 

                 " You okay, Charizard," a concerned Mitch asks as his Starter slowly gets to its feet while roaring a " Zard, Zard, Charizard," in response. " That looked like a very strong Giga Impact, but that means Hypno has left itself open for attacks while its recharging from it. Use Dragon Rage and then Overheat!" "Chaaaaaaar," it shouts as it fires the big ball of purple dragon energy with purple electricity surrounding it out of its mouth. The Dragon Rage hits the recharging Hypno in the chest and almost knocks it to its knees. Before Hypno has time to recover from the first attack, " Zaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard," it fires a very large stream of white fire with red-orange flames spiraling around it out of its mouth as its body glows bright red. " Hyyyyyyypnooooooooo," it shouts in pain as the powerful Fire move slams into it and knocks it backwards. " Hyyyyp," it grunts as it slams into a boulder, lands at the bottom, and lies there motionless. " I think we beat it, Chari," " Hyyyyyyp," before Mitch has time to finish his sentence, the badly damaged Hypno jumps to its feet, rushes forward, and weakly slams its glowing white fist into Charizard's face. Charizard is barely affected by the weak Focus Punch attack as a very tired Hypno falls to its knees and to Mitch's astonishment, tries to stand back up multiple times without success. "I have to stop it before it hurts itself anymore"  Mitch thinks to himself before he grabs a Poke Ball from his bag and throws it at Hypno. However, " Hyyyyyyyypnoooooo," it shouts as its eyes glow bright pink and it uses the telekinetic powers that its Psychic move gives it to stop the Poke Ball in mid-air before it uses those powers to shatter the empty ball into thousands of pieces. 

               " Hypno, what are you doing, you've lost! It's time to give up, why do you keep trying to fight so hard?" As if to answer, Mitch's question, Hypno uses Psychic to harmlessly pick Mitch, Charizard, and itself up before it moves them into the rocky terrain of the beach and eventually, sets them down in front of one of the caves that Nurse Joy was talking about. A very weak Hypno allows Mitch to heal it with a Max Potion before it leads them inside the cave. Once itself, the flame from Charizard's tail and some holes in the cave roof give them enough light to see that the cave is full of an extremely large group of Drowzee and other Hypno. " Oh, I see, you're their leader and you try to protect them from harm by attacking anyone that gets near this area of the beach," Mitch says as Hypno nods in agreement and Mitch pulls out his Pokedex to scan Drowzee. " Drowzee, the Hypnosis Pokemon, if your nose becomes itchy while you are sleeping, it's a sure sign that one of these Pokémon is standing above your pillow and is trying to eat your dream through your nostrils." Mitch puts his Pokedex away before turning to Hypno and saying, " You know, you're actually pretty well protected by all these rocky terrain and if this cave really is connected to all the other caves in this area, you could just go to one of those other caves if there is any sign of danger. You don't have to attack anyone that gets near this place just because you think that they're going to bother you." 

                Hypno takes a few seconds to think before it smiles, nods and says " Hyp, Hyp, Hypno," in agreement. Mitch smiles before turning to face Charizard, " You took a decent amount of damage in the battle, so why don't we go back to that Pokemon Center and get you healed up before we try to fly across the ocean?" " Char, Char, Zard," it roars it agreement before the two of them wave goodbye to Hypno and leave the cave.
