Snorlax vs. The Legend

                     Mitch and Charmeleon stand in a large patch of dirt in a grassy field and another trainer ( he looks pretty much like the male Ace Trainer design from Black and White) stands on the other side of the dirt patch holding up an Ultra Ball. " Ok, Artie, I accept your battle challenge, how does a 4 on 4 battle sound to you?" " Perfectly fine, but you go first," Artie says with a grin as Mitch throws a ball into the air. " Ivy, Ivy, Ivysaur," it shouts as it lands in the battlefield. " I choose you," Artie shouts as he throws his Ultra Ball into the air. " Artiiiiiiiicuuuunoooooo," a Legendary Pokemon that Mitch is shocked to see shouts as it flies into the air. 

          " That, that, that's a lege, legen, legenda," Mitch mumbles as he searches for his Pokedex. " Articuno, the Freeze Pokemon, Articuno is a legendary bird Pokémon that can control ice. The flapping of its wings chills the air. As a result, it is said that when this Pokémon flies, snow will fall.  " A Legendary Pokemon!!!!!!! This is going to be a battle to remember, Ivysaur, use Vine Whip!" " Ivvvvvyyyyysaaaaur," it shouts as its vines lash out at Articuno " Dodge and use Ice Beam," Artie commands as Articuno flies out of the way of the vines and fires a medium sized beam of ice out of its mouth. " Ivvvvvyyyyysaaaaur," it shouts as the Ice Beam slams into it and sends it flying backwards. It lands in front of Mitch with spirals in its eyes and half of its body frozen in ice. " Beedrill, I choose you," Mitch shouts as he throws a Poke Ball into the air while returning Ivysaur. " Bee, Bee, Beedrill," it cries as it flies up to face Articuno ," Use Twineedle," Mitch shouts, but before Beedrill can even start the move, " Use Steel Wing," Artie shouts as Articuno slams into Beedrill's body with its metal covered wings. Beedrill lands hard on the ground and weakly lets out a " Beee," before spirals appear in its eyes.

                    " Charmeleon, it's your turn." Mitch says as he returns Beedrill and Charmeleon rushes forward with a " Char, Char, Charmeleon." " Use Flamethrower,"  " Chaaaaaaaaarmeeeeleeeeeon," it shouts as it shoots the medium sized stream of fire out of its mouth, but Articuno quickly flies out of the water as Artie yells " Use Ancient Power." Articuno summons a bunch of very old looking and very eroded rocks and fires them at Charmeleon. It trys to get out of the way, but is too slow. " Chaaaaaaaaar," it screams as the rocks slam into it and bring it to its knees. " Finish it with Swift," Artie commands as the Legendary Bird summons a bunch of shining yellow stars and fires them at Charmeleon. The unavoidable move slams into Charmeleon and knocks it on its back as spirals appear in its eyes. Mitch runs over and helps his Starter Pokemon to its feet. " I know it's a Legendary Pokemon, but that Articuno is strong,"  " Yeah, we once had a practice battle against Lance with him using all six of his Pokemon and me just using Articuno. We beat both his Dragonair, his Shiny Gyarados, and ended up battling his Dragonite into a draw," Artie explains as Mitch sits Charmeleon down next to him.  " Ok, Snorlax, I choose you," Mitch shouts as he throws the Normal Type's Poke Ball into the air. 

                    " Snor, Snor, Snor, Snorlax," the shockingly awake Pokemon shouts as it lands in the battlefield. " Use Focus Punch," Mitch yells as Snorlax lunges forward to punch Articuno with its glowing white fist, " Counter with Blizzard," Artie commands as the Legendary Pokemon fires a large amount of giant snow flurries out of its mouth. The Blizzard slams into Snorlax and begins to push it back, " Snnnnnnoooorrrrlaaaax," it grumbles as it struggles against the snowstorm before " Snorrrrrrrlaaaax," it forces its gigantic body through the Blizzard and Focus Punches a very surprised Articuno in the face. " Cunooooooo," it cries as it flies backwards and skids across the ground with its back for a couple feet. Articuno's body comes to a stop as Mitch yells " Use Mega Punch before it has time to recover," " Snorlaaaaax," Snorlax screams as its arm glows white for a few seconds before it returns to normal and it punches a trying to get back to its feet Articuno in the face again. " Cunoooo," it shouts in pain from the hit, " Use Ice Beam," Artie shouts as Articuno fires the medium sized stream of ice out of its mouth and it slams into Snorlax knocking it back a few inches " Use Steel Wing," Artie yells as Articuno flies up and slams its metal covered wings into Snorlax's face. " Snooooooorlaaaax," it shouts as it falls down on one knee, but quickly gets back up.

            " Use Headbutt," Mitch commands as Snorlax jumps into the air and slams its head into Articuno. " Cunooooooo, Cunoooo," it shouts as it is left dazed by the attack , " Use Mega Kick," " Snooooorlaaax," it shouts as its leg briefly glows white and it kicks the still recovering Legendary Pokemon in the chest knocking it back to the ground. " Cunnnnoooo," it shouts as it impacts the ground and Mitch yells " Use Body Slam." Snorlax falls down on Articuno with its whole body before rolling off of it and " Use Focus Punch," slamming a glowing white fist into its body sending it flying back. " Cuno, Articuno, Cun," it shouts as it lands in front of Artie and struggles to its feet. " Attack with Sheer Cold," " Use Hyper Beam," both trainers shout at the same time. " Articuuuunoooooo," it shout as its body glows snow white for a few seconds and if fires a huge stream of ice and snow out of its mouth as " Snooooooooorlaxxxxx," it fires a big beam of bright red energy out of its mouth. Instead of colliding, the two attacks fly past each other with the Sheer Cold slamming into Snorlax and the Hyper Beam slamming into Articuno. " Snoooooooorrrrrrrr," " Cunnnnnnoooooo," they both shout as they fly backwards and land very hard on the ground with spirals in both of their eyes.   

                   A defeated Mitch and a victorious Artie ( he still has 3 pokemon remaining as they agreed to a 4 on 4 battle) return their Pokemon and walk over to meet each other in the middle of the battlefield. " This makes my first official defeat since I started my journey, but i'm not upset because I got a rare chance to fight a Legendary Pokemon," Mitch says as he holds out his hand to Artie. " It was a fun battle for me too and you've gained my respect. Aside from Lance, you're the only trainer that has ever beaten my Articuno in a battle," he replies with a smile as he grabs Mitch's hand and they give each other a respectful handshake.
