The Viridian City Gym Battle (Part 2 )

                        " Sandslash, the Mouse Pokémon, the Evolved Form of Sandshrew, It curls up, then rolls into foes with its back. Its sharp spines inflict severe damage" Mitch's Pokedex says as he points it at Gaia's Sandslash. " Tauros, use Horn Attack," Mitch commands as he puts his Pokedex away. " Taaaaaauuuurrr," it shouts as both of its horns temporarily glow white before it jumps at Sandslash with its horns outstretched. " Counter with Crush Claw," Gaia shouts as " Slaaaaaaaash," the claws on its right arm glow crimson red and it jumps at Tauros with its claws outstretched. " Taaaaur, " Slaaash," they shout as their attacks collide and they try to push each other back, but fail and jump back to their original positions. " Use Zen Headbutt," Mitch commands as Tauros runs forward and slams its glowing pink head into Sandslash. " Slaaaaash," the Ground Type shouts as it falls back from the attack, but manages to catch itself as Gaia shouts, " Use Rollout!" " Slaaash," it shouts as it curls up into a ball and rolls very fast towards Tauros. " Taaaaaaur," it shouts as the attack hits it in the chest, but when Sandslash uncurls itself, Mitch yells, " Use Horn Attack!" " Roooooos," it shouts as it hits Sandslash with its horns, knocking it against the wall.  Sandslash struggles to its feet as Mitch says " hit it with Megahorn. Tauros jumps at Sandslash with both of its horns glowing yellowish green as Gaia shouts, " Use Brick Break!" Sandslash twists its glowing white left arm into a odd angle before jumping at Tauros. The two of them pass each other mid-air as Tauros slams its Megahorn into Sandslash's face and Sandslash Brick Breaks Tauros in the right shoulder. Sandslash lands it front of Mitch with spirals in its eyes and Tauros lands on all four feet in front of Gaia while wincing in pain from the Super Effective attack that just hit it.

                 Tauros walks back to its side of the battlefield with a slight limp as Gaia returns her defeated Sandslash.  " Going to warn ya, young'un, my next three Pokémon will be some of my strongest, Rhydon, I choose you," Gaia says while throwing a Great Ball into the air.  " Don, Rhy, Rhy, Rhydon," it shouts as it lands in the battlefield and creates a tiny dust cloud upon impact. " Use Zen Headbutt," Mitch shouts as Tauros runs at Rhydon with its outstretched head glowing pink. " Use Earthquake," Gaia shouts as Rhydon's body becomes surrounded in dark brown energy before in stomps both of its feet on the ground, causing the ground beneath Tauros to heavily shake. " Taaaaaaaaur," it shouts it pain as it stumbles around, its Zen Headbutt is cancelled out in the process, and struggles to stay on its feet. " Use Focus Blast," Gaia commands as " Doooooooonn," it forms a big ball of orange energy between its hands and throws it at Tauros. " Dodge it and use Iron Tail," Mitch shouts as Tauros jumps into the air, the Focus Blast explodes on the ground where it once stood, as all three of its tails become coated in metal. " Taaaaaaaur," it shouts as it slams all three of its metal coated tails into the side of Rhydon's head. " Rhhhhhhyyyyy," it shouts as the Super Effective move knocks it down on one knee. Rhydon rubs the side of its throbbing head as Mitch shouts, " use Zen Headbutt!" " Taaaaaaaur," it shouts while slamming its glowing pink head into Rhydon, sending it skidding backwards. Rhydon quickly gets back on its feet as Mitch tells Tauros to , " Use Horn Attack." Tauros runs at Rhydon while pointing its horns at it. Gaia smiles to herself before shouting, " Use Heavy Slam!" Rhydon jumps into the air, the incoming Horn Attack from Tauros hits nothing but air, as its entire body becomes coated in metal. It then falls and lands on top of Tauros with all of its body weight. For a few seconds, Rhydon stays on top of Tauros before climbing off:  Tauros lays in a small crater on the ground with spirals in its eyes. " Roosss," it weakly groans as Mitch returns it.

                 Mitch puts the Safari Ball containing Tauros back on his belt and grabs a Poke Ball from it. " Rhydon took some pretty hard hits from Tauros. Do you think that it can last much longer? " Don't get overconfident, young'un. Rhydon is a lot tougher than it looks, Gaia says as Mitch throws the Poke Ball containing his fourth Pokémon into the air.  " Far, Fetch'd, Fetch, Far, Fetch'd," Mitch's Farfetch'd says while landing in front of Rhydon. " Use Slash," Mitch shouts as Farfetch'd's leek glows white and extends a few inches, forming a blade like tip. " Faaaaaarrr," it shouts as it slashes Rhydon across the chest with its leek. It lands at Rhydon's feet and stares it down as Rhydon only briefly winces from the Not Very Effective move. " Dddddddonnnn," it menacingly laughs as Gaia says, " Use Stomp," " Dooon," it shouts as it slams its glowing white right foot into Farfetch'd, trapping it beneath the foot and separating it from its leek. " Faaar, Faaar, Farfetch'd, Faaaar," in shouts as it tries in vain to free itself from beneath Rhydon's massive foot. " Use Peck on Rhydon's foot, repeatable ," Mitch shouts as Farfetch's beak glows white and it begins to poke Rhydon in the foot with it. Rhydon winces in pain from the desperate attack before getting use to it as Gaia mumbles, " finish it with Ice Fang." Rhydon's teeth begin to become coated in ice as an idea pops into Mitch's head. " Farfetch'd use Leer," he commands as Farfetch'd fires a small amount of orange eye-shaped energy out of its eyes. Rhydon is hit by the attack and its Ice Fang is cancelled out as the orange energy flows through its body, lowering its defense. Rhydon accidently steps off of Farfetch'd giving Mitch enough time to shout " quick, grab your leek and use Leaf Blade!" " Farrrrrr," it shouts as it rolls out from underneath Rhydon and grabs the leek. The leek glows bright green and extends into a blade like tip before Farfetch'd jumps at Rhydon. " Faaaaaaaarrrrr," it shouts as it slashes Rhydon across the chest with the Super Effective Leaf Blade." Doooooonnnn," it shouts in pain as Mitch screams " don't let up! Use Night Slash!" " Feeeeetttcccch," it shouts as it slashes Rhydon across the face with its glowing black leek that has extended into a sword like blade. " Rhhhyyyy," it weakly says as it falls to its knees and a confident looking Farfetch'd lands in front of it. A seemingly almost defeated and panting Rhydon looks up at Farfetch'd and smirks as Farfetch'd and Mitch stare at it in confusion. " Told ya to not get overconfident when it comes to Rhydon. Use Stone Edge," Gaia shouts. " Rhyyyyyyyyyydoooon," it shouts as it summons multiple very sharp grey stones from nowhere and fires them at Farfetch'd. The Normal/Flying type is unable to react in time to get out of the way as the rocks slam into it and send it flying backwards causing it to land on its back at Mitch's feet with its wings and arms outstretched on the ground. " Faaar," it weakly lets out as spirals appear in its eyes.
