Breakfast Talks

Veronica POV
I text Betty to meet me for breakfast at pops for a mini breakfast date. I really was feeling bad for Jughead because I got Archie and he didn't get Betty, despite her not liking Archie anymore.
My main mission now was to help Jug be happy, even if it's not with Betty. I feel like he likes Abby but he and I both know there's no future with her.
I change Faith into a really cute outfit and got into my car. Archie is doing something with his mother so he was going to meet me at school.
I get to pops and Betty isn't here yet but Jug is.
"Hey Jug where's Betty don't you guys live together?"
"She's still in her room as far as I know, didn't leave,"
"Weird anyway I'll just have a coffee please and I'll let you know after,"
"Okay one coffee!"
I sit down at a booth in the back corner and jug delivers my coffee.
"Thanks jug,"
"That good V,"
A few minutes later Betty walls in, looking a bit tired.
"B, it looks like you haven't sept all night, what happened?"
"I slept for a bit before I had a nightmare about my dad, that he's out of jail and will kill me, my mum aswell!"
"Oh B he's locked away, don't worry!" I grab her hand and give her a small smile.
"Jug was looking for you yesterday where where you, I got there a little late so I thought you had and argument with Jug or something."
"No I left early, because of Jug, well he didn't directly do anything to me, I left because of well for one everyone was dating someone there and I'm here single. And because well I've realised I well...." she starts pulling me closer and whispers, "I may like Jughead."
I sit there looking her in the eyes, at this point I'm happy Jug might get the chance he's always wanted, "B imma tell you straight up, not to hurt you but Jughead liked you, yes liked, and he wanted a chance with you and you pushed him away every time."
"Yeah that's why I'm ignoring him right now, I'm in a way punishing myself and it's not to hurt him but to let him be happy with Abby who seems like she really likes him,"
"He is happy and I understand why your doing this B I'm so sorry, how about another girls night with Kev and fangs too and mine to tonight!"
"Yes V I'll feel so much better!"
Betty soon leaves to get to school early to get to the blue and gold to get a couple of things she left and I go to Jug and we go to my act and start driving to school.
"So?"
"Betty likes you a lot!"
He start smiling a real smile, awww he's so cute when he's happy!
"But she said that she's ignoring you because she's punishing herself for every time she pushed you away and that she wants you to be with Abby because she makes you happy, to be honest Jug I agree, be with Abby before you start anything with Betty, I'm sure Abby isn't going college so you can take your chance when we go because Abby will be out the picture."
"Yeah your right, I'll continue with Abby for a bit longer actually can we go and pick up Toni before, she kind of knows that I like Betty and how Betty felt before, I want to tell her about it."
"Yeah of course, the Wrym is it?" I start to turn the car around.
"Yeah and Cheryl may be with her, so we'll have to explain it all,"
We pick up Cheryl and Toni and explain all that's happened. They agree with me about keeping Abby for a bit longer.
"Well I'm glad Betty came to her senses about who she likes!" Toni states
"Tee tee, that's a bit mean about my cousin, but honestly so true, it took her long enough!" Cheryl says
We all laugh and eventually reach school. We all go to reception to meet with the teachers so we can give the babies back and have a finishing meeting before they give us details about the prom in a few days.

Jughead POV
I look for Betty so we can meet up and I can say goodbye to Peter. Then amongst the crowds, our eyes meet.
