Baby project: a bughead story

Betty POV
"Jug!?" I say

He comes over and sits on my hospital bed, "why didn't you tell me? I would have helped Betty."
"I didn't want you to worry. Look please don't worry or be annoyed with me."
"Why would I be annoyed Betty. I love you and understand why you would be like that. And well I've come to a irreversible decision, I'm coming back here and staying for good. I'll get a job and you leave your job, I don't want you over work yourself Betty I care for you."
"I love you so much. Thank you. I really appreciate you Juggie." And I give him a kiss, "I have the gender in this envelope."
"Well are we gonna wait, I'm sure there going to be no party today."
"Yeah probably not but I do want a party."
"Okay then I'll let the others know and I can get you food if you want?"
"Please oh my god please!"

And he left the room and Veronica and Kev come in first, they all can't come in at once if not family only two at a time.
"Omg B I was so scared!" Veronica says giving me a light hug
"I swear Betty I was this close to attacking someone!" Kev says
"Well I'm okay. So you two I have something very interesting in this envelope, the gender of my baby."
"Omg I feel so special!" Kev says
"Well is the party still on?" Veronica asks
"The day I get out we can have it, I just want to rest now."
"That's totally fine!" Kev says
"Uh so I wanted you both to know first seeing as you both are my bestie besties, reg knows, and we're in this together but I'm 10 weeks pregnant." Veronica tells us
"Omggggg!!!" Me and Kev squeal
"I found out 2 weeks ago and was planning on waiting till we had a scan to se if things were okay but since this happened I wanted to tell you."
"Ahhh I'm so excited!" I say
"I already have 2 godchildren!" Kev says happily
"Let me guessing you told them?" Reg says at the door
"Yes and how did you get here?"  Veronica asks
"I snuck here, the twins are back with your sister by the way Betty. So how are you?"
"I'm good now. I'm so happy for you both!"
"Thanks B!"

A little while later everyone had come in for a visit and jug was back with pops
"Thank youuuuuu! Hospital food isn't amazing."
"Are you sure about that?"
"Okay it's awful! But I love pops! Gimme!"
"More than me?" He says smirking
"Well....." he looks up from setting up the food, "nah food doesn't last, you my handsome does!" I say kissing his cheek
"That I do." He reply's and sits on the chair next to my bed.
"Sit next to me."
"Only if your okay."
"Please. It'll make me feel better."
"Okay then." And he sits next to me as we eat our burgers
"Did Veronica tell you?" I say
"What?"
"Her and reg are 10 weeks pregnant!"
"Damn! I've got to speak to them later!"

A few hours later:
Jug had left to go and get fresh clothes and a overnight bag. My friends have all gone back to the pembrooke to rest and Fp, my sister and jelly have all gone home. Only my mum has stayed. She doesn't want to leave me.

"I won't leave you mum, ever."
"I know you won't. I love you so much."
"But I could have."
"What do you mean Betty?"
"When I was passed out, I had......visions of the future, if I let go, I would have fell into a coma, then at birth..... died."
"Oh Betty. What else did you see?" She could see I was tearing up
"I saw my baby's first birthday and she said mama, and jug was there in a trailer, no money. Then her 10th birthday where jug told her about me and they were as close as ever. Then the last was her first period. I want there and her and jug couldn't talk about it so he called Veronica away from her family to help his. I just felt I had to come back so, I could be there for it or her I don't know anymore. Mum I just had to be here!" I say crying into my mums chest. She strokes my hair and says, "oh Betty. You were meant to come back to me, to jug and to your baby. I love you so much. Remember that."
"I will mum." I felt a bit lost but my mum found me and helped me.

"Can I cut in?" Jug says at the door
"Yeah I'm going to talk to the doctor then I can stay or sleep here or go. Whatever you want."
"Mum how long has it been since you've slept?"
"Two days." She says quietly
"Go home, it's fine jugs here."
"Okay, keep her safe."
"Always."

And my mum leaves, jug comes over to my bed and lays next to me.
"So we have time now and we have nothing to do, do you want to talk about names maybe?" I say
"Yeah. So for a boy I was thinking after the baby project Peter."
"Yes! Definitely! And for a girl... Juliet I wanted."
"I love that name. And I love you!"
"I love you too!"
