Dropping out

Betty POV
Christmas Day was unlike any other. I'm pregnant! But me and jug are not together and he doesn't want kids AT ALL no matter what.

Veronica and Polly are with me now and they promised me that they will be by my side all the way through, with or without Jughead.

We decided to have a girls night and I wanted to tell Choni reggie and Kangs, seeing them happy might make me feel better.

"Heyyyy why did you tell me to gather us all?" Toni says
"Betty has some news!" V says
"Omg bughead is back yessssss!" Fangs yells
"No." I say
"What then cousin? Spit it out!"
"So I'm.... pregnant with jugs baby and only you guys know."
They all sit there, mouths dropped.
"Omggggg bughead baby!" Kev shouts.
I smile they are happy.
"Okay I call godmother!" Cheryl shouts
"Nope no! Me and Polly have that space!"
"No V you can all be godparents!"
"Yay!" They all shout
"So when are you telling Jug?" Reggie says
"I don't know....." they don't know it's not their fault.
"We actually guys I'm gonna call you all later and explain what's happened." V says
"Are you coming back to college?" Toni asks
"I think so. No wait what's the point? I might as well start to get a job now to provide. I'm going to stay in Riverdale. I'm not coming back. I need a job and money before this baby even comes." I decide on the spot
I don't even know how I would do college with a baby and what's the point on getting more education when I can just start getting money and save paying for my dorm.

"Awww I'm going to miss you as a roommate!" V says leaning her head on my shoulder.
"I'll miss all of you guys, sorry I didn't give you a proper goodbye but I will visit."
"We will come down as frequent as possible!" Fangs says
"Uh guys there isn't actually something I have told you." Reggie begins
"What reg?" V says
"I applied for a job at Riverdale high as a coach and I didn't think I would get it but I did, I'm dropping out."
Veronica's face changes, "what about us?"
"Well I'll always visit, and try to talk as much as I can."
"No, I'll drop out then!"
"No ronnie! Follow your dream, don't stop because of me!" Reggie says
"But I don't know why I'm in college, I don't need a degree in business do I?"
"I don't actually know." I say
"I'm dropping out too then, me reg and Betty will all live here!" Veronica announces
"Are you sure V you don't have to?" I say
"I want to be here with you and I'm not learning anything in college."

After Kangs and choni said their goodbye to me and Veronica, reg said he'll bring our stuff over in his truck. I'm glad I have Veronica with me and reg, they will help me through this.

Veronica heads to the pembrooke to get keys for the apartment and set up. She also calls the others to tell them what Jug has been saying without me hearing it again

I start thinking what starter job can I get, pops maybe to start myself of. Veronica said to me that we could move into the Pembroke her parents told her earlier that they are going back to New York and left her the apartment.

I need to tell my mum now. I go down the stairs and see they are watching a Christmas movie, they as in Fp, my mum, jug and Jellybean I assume. Jelly came later because she felt a bit better and I didn't really want to catch anything from her that could hurt this baby.

Mum can I talk to you for a second.
"Of course Betty."
We go to her room and sit on her bed.
"Mum I'm dropping out of college." I say quickly
"WHAT!" She shouts
"Please mum be quieter, I don't want jug to know." I say as I feel tears come out of my eyes
"Betty what's happening with you."
"Don't tell jug or Fp but.... I'm pregnant."
My mum starts to cry, "oh Betty, it's jugs right?"
"Yeah." I say crying. She pulls me into a hug.
"Look I'm not angry, I'll support you through this, as much as I can. Are you telling Jughead?"
"I don't know, you heard him, mister I will never have kids, they get in the way. I know he has a right to know but I know he won't want to be in its life."
"Yeah..... well it's your choice, your body."
We talk a bit before we go back to the boys.

"Alice have you been crying?" Fp asks
"No just I had a eyelash in my eye and Betty helped me." She says holding my hand
I watch the movie with them but feel Jugs eyes constantly on me.
"Okay! So I'm just gonna say it I'm dropping out of college, so is reg and Veronica! There I said it!" I shout and give into the stares
"What?!" Jug shouts, "why?"
"Um...." i didn't have a reason prepared, "what's the bother? I know all of this!"
"To get a degree maybe?" He yells back
"Why do you care?" I yell
He doesn't say anything and just leaves and sits outside, he doesn't exactly have a room to storm to.

But I do and I run up and slam the door. Polly is washing the twins now so I'm alone.

Then I hear a knock.
"Hey." Jellybean says
"Oh hey, sorry I haven't actually spoken to you yet."
"It's okay. But I can see Jughead still cares about you. When my mum was sick you was all he spoke about. And I know your not dropping out because there's no point, so don't lie, what are you dropping out, did my brother knock you up?" She says casually

Wow what a detective she is, "why would you think that?"
"I'm not a stupid kid, I know things."
"Smart you are. Yes I'm having his baby."
"Oh and I saw your tests in you trash."
"Why were you in there?"
"I was looking for toothpaste and saw them. Sorry."
"It's okay. Your going to be and auntie, but you cannot tell Jughead!"
"I won't. I heard about what he said, and he's is so out of order, saying, ooo I don't want kids I want a boring life, be old them maybe I'll consider it. They are in the way." She says in a gloomy voice
We both laugh.

Jellybean is really funny I can see why Jug loves her so much.
