Baby project: a bughead story

First date

Betty POV
I have a first date with Jug tonight! I'm so excited! I've waited for this to happen for ages! I run back to my room and burst open the door and run around frantically ignoring the fact that I wasn't alone.

"Damn B who you running from!" V says
"Omg V didn't see you there!" I say jumping in fright
"What's up?"
"I mean could you tell me what's up before I even tell you!"I yell a bit harshly
"Look B I want to but the others said I can't! I would never keep anything from you! Your my best friend!"
"I thought no secrets! What happened to that! Tell me and I won't tell them I know!"
V sat there thinking whether she should tell me and eventually gave in as I started doing my makeup.
"Fine! Your right! Yesterday Toni followed Archie and Abby and heard them talking. They said they are going to break up you and Jug and Abby may hurt you to get to him. Also Archie said he wants you that's why he's going along with it. He never really loved me."
I sit there awkwardly looking at V, I used to be in love with Archie and he chose V and I was okay with that but he suddenly loves me back and never loved her makes me feel horrible for her.
"Oh V I'm sorry."
"It's fine I'm with Reg, and he treats me better then that rat ever will!"
"I'm happy your with Reg and not alone when I'm gone, especially tonight!" I say smirking and she catches my smile
"Ooo what's happening tonight? You said you would tell!"
"Jug asked me on a date!"
"JUGHEAD JONES ASKED YOU OUT ON A DATE! WHAT HAPPENED TO IM A LONER, DAMN B YOU'VE CHANGED HIM!"
"I know, he isn't lonely or depressed or anything!"
"I mean V he kinda lost his mum not to long ago, don't count on him not still being depressed, he's getting there though I saw him smiling at you. His face lights up the moment your in the room."
"Aww V that's sweet, and yeah your probably right. Anyway I need help, from my bestie to help me!"
"Of course!"

A while later I'm dressed and ready.

I meet Jug at his motorcycle outside.
"Wait your not serious!" I say laughing
"What? How else will we get there?"
"Um a cab maybe?"
"Nah I don't want to waste any money when I can use it for the date!"
"Ugh okay but drive slow!"
"It's actually more dangerous that way, I have to go fast."
"Ugh I'm not gonna like this!"
"We'll see Betty!"
I get on the back and Jug places his helmet on me.
"What about you?"
"You need it more then I do."
I smile at his concern and he gets in front and I hold onto him.
We start going and I close my eyes in fright but open them and feel great.
"I love this!" I shout into the wind
"I knew you would!"
We get to a beach with no one there.
"Ooo Jug what's this?"
"You'll see."

We walk hand in hand to a are covered by trees and we push through a leaf covering to a few fairy lights and a picnic.
"Wait you did this?"
"Only for you."
I kiss him and we sit down and eat, enjoying the sunset.
"It's so beautiful."
"Your beautiful."
I kiss him again.

(I think you prob know yeah yeah yeah I'm not writing this lol)

After it's a bit later we go to a area with a pier.
"Hey what are we doing here?"
"This bridge is very special Betty, couples that visit leave a lock on there with a message on it and leave it there locked to show their love is forever."
"Are we doing one?" I say getting excited
He pulls out a pink heart shaped lock and a pen.
"Write the message and I'll lock it."
I write 'BUGHEAD4EVER' and hand it to Jug.
"Ooo Kev and fangs little slogan for us has got to you!"
"It works, like we do."
He smiles and takes my hand leading me to a empty space and locks the lock on.
We sit in that area for a while before going back onto the motorcycle back to dorm and go to Jugs room.

We open the door and see no Reggie and lie down on the bed just cuddling before we go to sleep.

I wake up with big strong arms around me and turn to Jug kissing his cheek and leaving but before leaving a note, 'last night was amazing I'm going back to my room for a bit I'll come back after xx'

I open the door slowly trying not to wake V.
I see her in bed and lay on mine.
"Betty?"
I shoot up and see Reggie in a bath towel.
"Reggie?"
"What are you doing here I thought you were with jug?"
"Yeah I came back for a bit to freshen up and see V, why are you here?"
He gives me a look and I understand.
"Oh. Should I leave?"
"Nah it's your room stay it's fine. I have to go back anyway tell V I left when she's awake."
"Ah okay I will do."
He gets changed and leaves.

Not long later, "Betty?" A tired v says
"Hey."
"Your back? How was last night?"
"Amazing! We had a picnic and put a forever lock on a bridge."
"Ooo anything else?"
I give her a Reggie look and she places her hand over her mouth.
"Omg perfect girl next door, on next level!"
"Yeah I just saw Reg, hmmm?"
"Um yeah. Anyway a lock! So sweet, damn he definitely changes he's a real romantic."
"He is isn't he?"
