Baby project: a bughead story

My fault part 2

Betty POV
Veronica and reg settled back in and we all went to pops with no jug.

"Betty are you okay?" Reg asks
"Yeah. I'm fine." I say

I didn't speak much throughout dinner. I was too upset.

Jughead POV
I return home and see Reggie and Veronica bags at the door, there back.
They left a note,
'At pops'
Okay, so what can I do for the next few hours.

I go to the nursery and see nothings changed, I guess I'll go finish it.
I set up the small toy box and add the toys. I did she her book case with some books before bed, maybe when she's older. Her rocking chair, a small arm chair for us to hold her and sit in in there. And other little bits before it's completely done.
And time flew by

"It's beautiful jug." I hear from behind
I'm still annoyed but I won't be rude to her, I don't know why I'll just feel bad seeing her upset, "yeah it is. Good choice on choosing I guess your always right." I say before going to our room to brush my teeth before bed. I'm not going to sleep on the sofa or anything but I'm still annoyed.

"Jug you there?" I hear Veronica call
"In the bathroom!" I shout quite unclear with toothpaste in my mouth.
"In the bathroom?"
"Yeah!" I say but is more understandable
"Ah found you we need to talk about this argument with Betty."
"Veronica honestly please don't get involved, I probably look worse in this because I'm not pregnant, I'll probably send her into labour or something then it's forgive and forget because I'm in the wrong!" I say
"No well... at first me and reg saw her point of view and the fact she's pregnant, but she convinced us you were right and she was wrong. She did. Not us convincing her. She did. She said herself and I quote, 'it's my fault guys don't blame him.'"
"Look if this makes you feel any better Veronica, that makes me a bit better. And I'm not gonna be rude to her, It'll just be awkward till I have an explanation."
"Your like Cheryl."
"How am I like Cheryl!"
"You always think your right!"
"That's funny considering Betty was saying she's always right, so funny you say that!" I say
"Talk to her!"
"Bye Veronica!" I Yell as she leaves the bedroom

I go to lay in bed for a bit, then Betty comes in.
We don't say anything, she just brushes her teeth and has a bath.

I stop myself from falling asleep to make sure her and the baby are okay and out the bath safely.
When she gets out she gets in on her side of the bed and much like me lays on her side and we're not facing each other.

Before I go to sleep she says to me, "I'm not always right. Good night jug."
"Goodnight Betty." Is all I say back

I guess we both are kinda in the wrong in some area. And her admitting she's not always right happens at the worse timing, it's so funny when Betty admits defeat.

Betty POV
It feels so awkward, in this moment jug would laugh at me, then I'd tell him to shove off. We'd have a good laugh, not this time, it's my fault.

I lay there, tears in my eyes. I can't sleep but I don't want him to know that so I close my eyes shut and squeeze back my tears.

Jughead POV
I give up I can't sleep. I quietly get out of bed and go to the living room, to just maybe watch tv.

"Boring boring boring!" I say
No good tv so I just put on a random tv show.

"Hey jug what you doing up?" Reg says
"Can't sleep."
"Well if it helps I cant either, meeting Hiram was scary, I thought he was gonna send a hit out in me."
"Yeah I'm good not meeting Hiram. Probably got an assassinator watching you right now!" I say laughing
"Dude, he can hear us! Don't give him ideas! " Reg whisper shouts
"Okay okay sorry. I just want this sorted with Betty but I also want an explanation so I guess it's awkward till she says one."
"Maybe she's just scared of what'll she may say that could hurt the relationship."
"I mean I proposed a couple of weeks ago, I will try anything to make this work."
"Well I'll can see that. Look you guys are like mine and Veronica's idol couple, hence maybe having a baby and engagement soon after you guys, you two are literally for each other."
"I appreciate that reg. anyway you should probably go back to Veronica, Betty knows I left the room but your good with Veronica, don't wreck it."
"I won't and you and Betty will sort it out soon."
"I know we will."

He leaves and I think about what he said me and Betty are his and Veronica's idol couple.

I go to make a drink to maybe help me sleep but I hear shouting, "jug! Jughead! Jug help!" Betty

I run to the room fast and see her standing there with a pool of water below her.

"But your too early!" I say trying to grab our hospital bag I packed before
"I know please help jug!"
"I am don't worry just, uh put on a coat. I've got the bag."
"Okay." She tiptoes off trying not to wake the others whilst I clean up and get a bag and quickly change my clothes.

"I left a note for v and reg." Betty says
"Okay let's go to the car then." I say

I'm getting a baby.
