Baby project: a bughead story

Betty POV
"Right Elizabeth, oh sorry Betty, ready for nursing your baby?" The nurse says coming in

"Uhhhh....." is all I can make out
"Oh yeah sorry, it's another word for breastfeeding."
A shade off red hits my face, "oh yeah yeah, I'm ready." I pull my gown down a bit, I wanted jug to hold her first, but I guess I am. The nurse carefully carries her over to me and the baby starts sucking.(lol I didn't know what word to go for)

The nurse leaves and I look at jug sitting int he chair at the bed of my bed.
"Sorry I know you wanted to hold her."
"What if that Betty was my little plan to get you to hold her first."
"Was it?"
"No but I was planning something."
"Uh jug did you see me, I'm already a horrible mother I don't even know what nursing is?!" I say upset
"Your fine, apparently most baby's don't take the mothers errr yeah first time so your doing fine." He's now red
I laugh at our embarrassment we both have just had.

"Wow she's going for it!' I'd say to loud
"Damn Betty that sounds a bit uh weird!" Jug says holding back laughter
"Ha ha very funny jug, you can try if you want, go on let her try you!" I say
"I'm good Betty."
"You know you can just sit next to me, I don't care." I say not bothered
"Un you sure...." he says awkward
"Nothing you haven't seen before, come, look at your baby!" I say and he reluctantly sits next to me and doesn't look.
"Forsythe Pendleton Jones III look at your baby being fed for the first time or I swear I'll call Veronica to kick your ass, because she will, she's very protective, even pregnant, she's worse pregnant." I warn

He slowly looks over and I don't take my eyes off him.
"Wow uh she's hungry...... does that hurt!?" He says quickly at the end and turns away awkward
"Jughead we are going to be married soon, grow up! It's your newborn baby! And it hurts a bit but it's okay now."
"S-sorry uh I'm new at this."
"You seemed fine looking at me far too much when she was being made huh!" I say
"That's a bit different."
"Sure jug sure.... ah cutie your done." I pull her away and then call, "jug! Jughead! Okay Veronica can go next if you want?"
"No no I'll go!"

He takes her off me, whilst I still haven't covered up and rocks her. I cover myself up and I feel him somehow relax a bit more.

"Oh your adorable jug, so innocent aren't you."
He laughs as he's looking at our baby.

A bit later Veronica bursts in.
"Omg B your awake!"
"Yeah I just finished nursing her."
"Oh great how was it, are you okay?"
"I'm fine, don't worry. Now Jughead that's how you react when I feed your child, not 'I'm new to this'"
"Sorry."
"I'm just joking your great juggle!" I say kissing his cheek
"Can I hold her?" Veronica says
"Of course." Jug says passing her over to Veronica

"Oh my god you are so beautiful. My baby is gonna have a hard time winning over your heart."
"With dad like me, he won't go 10 feet near her!" jug warns
"Okay okay." V say but whispers and only I hear, "I'll help matchmake you both, don't worry, your mean daddy won't stop me, I'm Veronica lodge after all."
"Ugh I'm so tired." I say touching my head
"Rest then me  and v got it." Jug says
"Really?"
"Rest! I insist, this is what's being an auntie is for!" V says

I give I and fall straight asleep.

Jughead POV
So that whole 20 mins was awkward as hell. And Betty making me look was just worse. It's just a bit awkward for me. That's all.

"Jughead how's being a father for..... 4 hours going?"
"So far okay, but it'll be the night feeds and changes. Oh the feeds are gonna be hard."
"Omg grow up, I swear you've seen them before. It's nothing!" Veronica yells at me
"I'm a guy. I'm not a player that enjoys the sight. I'm a weirdo I'm just-."
"A weirdo I know god I don't need another talk about how much of a weirdo you are. But I'd do have a gift I made myself. Getting bored I took up knitting." She places Juliet down and reach inside her bag to reveal a smaller version of
My beanie She made
"Okay that is the best thing I've ever seen!"
"Wait till you see what you dad got her, it's too cute!" She says
"Okay but like that is the exact replica of mine smaller. We have to put it on her."

I carefully go over and slip the beanie on her tiny head.
"Ronnie it looks so cute."
"Well it's my thank you gift for giving me this baby."
"You do know it's mine and Betty's baby right?"
"Oh yeah..... yeah I know."

After a while Veronica leaves and my dad and Betty's mum come in, Betty still asleep.
"Hey just wanted to see if Betty's awake."
"She did wake up, we held the baby and she fed her then she went back to sleep. Do you guys want to hold her?"
"Of course. Oh I'm so happy, I never had this with polly." Alice says as I pass her there baby first
"Hello jules, I love you. I love you" she sings

My dad pulls me aside, "boy whilst she was feeding you better have been respectful to her."
"I was dad don't worry. I gave her space."
"Good."
I lied, it was too awkward to say to my dad, 'Betty forced me to look. She made me look'

It was my dads turn.
"Ah hello heir to the serpent throne."
"WAIT WHAT! NO NO! NO SERPENTS!" Alice says far too loud

The baby starts crying. My dad rocks her and walks around till she calms down.
"Damn dad you have the touch."
"Ohhh I'm sorry baby. I feel awful!" Alice says upset
"Don't worry it happens." I say

My dad passes her back to me and I rock her to sleep.
"I actually have something the serpents helped make."
He pulls out a tiny serpent jacket.
"Oh my god dad that is amazing! I'm in love with all this!" I say admiring the jacket.

Then Betty wakes up from all the talk.

"Betty your awake!" Alice says
"Hey guys. So you met her and held her?"
"Yeah she's amazing!" My dad says
"Ooo Fp I want a baby!"
"No! No! I'm too old i have a grandchild now!"
"Okay...... your right. Anytime you both want alone time, call me first, not veronica ME!" Alice says
"Okay mum, don't worry."
"Well Alice I think we should leave these two be and spend time with Juliet, me and you can go and swap with polly and jelly, you can babysit Juniper and Dagwood."
"Okay then, I mean they're two but okay. Bye Betty and jug. Bye bye baby. I miss you already!" Alice says before my dad has to drag her out
"Ugh my mum has baby fever, but I noticed a little beanie on our girls head, who made that?"
"Veronica did."
"Okay that is so cute! And that serpent jacket omg that is adorable!"
