Baby project: a bughead story

Jughead POV
I wake up with Betty in my arms on I think Tonis bed. Her head resting on my chest, ugh why am I still wearing a dress shirt talk about uncomfortable!
I gently lay her off me and go to the bathroom to have a shower.
When I come out I put on a top that Veronica dropped in halfway through the night.
She didn't say much....

Last night.
Veronica comes in the room with a duffel bag.
"What's with the bag?"
"Just some clothes."
"What's happened out in the real world?"
"Not much don't worry about it."
"I mean we've been locked in this room for hours, kinda worried?"
"Yeah, we'll talk later. You guys look cute'n cosy."
"Yeah we just talked about everything in our 'amazing' lives and layed down for a bit before dozing off."
"Awww anyhow I have to go see ya lovebirds!"
"Wait ver-!"
And she left

Back to present
I change my clothes and hear stirring.
"Hey Betts, finally up huh?"
"Hey Juggie, yeah last night was fun and weird but fun I guess."
"Yeah I understand, kinda hope V gives some answers."
Betty goes and gets changed and I sit on the bed texting Toni
T-hey you guys okay?
J-I mean locked in a room for hours no explanation and no food, how'd you think I'm doing Toni🧐
T-right it's all about the food jug🙄, how's Betty
J- she's fine I think, hasn't said much about it but she is annoyed you guys are fighting our battles which is kinda true😑
T-we are doing It to protect you guys be grateful 😍😍
J- whatever Toni😒 you guys better explain what's happening

She read my message but didn't answer. What happened last night?

Toni POV
I ignored Jug, last night was kinda hectic.

Flashback to last night
Me, Reggie, V, Cheryl, Kev and fangs were all still at the dance, watching the rats. Bughead were locked in mine and Cheryl's room, at least they are out of the cross fire.

Abby and Archie leave the room and go to the dorms. I leave the others and go and follow them. They go down to a vacant room and go in. I listen outside and hear their conversation.
"Ugh I hope whatever your little friend Betty is doing with my boyfriend ends soon or blood will be spilt Andrews!"
"And it will and I can be with Betty and you with Jug."
"Hey question! Didn't you reject her or something?"
"Yeah, big mistake! I wanted Veronica and then I realised how pretty Betty got over the summer and she got hot!"
"Whatever Andrews we will drive a wedge between them but until then you need to stop acting jealous about that Reggie guy,  I thought you don't love Veronica anymore?"
"Still, she drives me crazy! And her choosing Reggie makes me annoyed! But I want Betty!"
"Whatever guys are weird!"
I run back to the dance and find the others and tell them what they said.
As i was talking I could see V's heart breaking, she genuinely loved him. She leaves and we try to follow but she runs before we could.

Back to reality
I couldn't tell Jug everything, it might make things worse and we all agreed to tell them the smallest amount that we could, we didn't want them to feel like they were not meant for each other because you could just see that they are.

Jughead POV
Me and Betty meet up with Toni and the others at the cafe. Today is our last day before school starts. Hopefully Abby and Archie are out of here before that.
"Hey guys!" I say
"Hey." They all day in a depressing way
"So, what's up?" Betty says brightly
"Nothing!" That all say
"Sure... so we are locked in a room for hours and there's nothing to tell!" I yell
They all sit there awkwardly.
"Fine then why am I here!" I shout before nodding at Betty to show if she wants to come she nods back and takes my hand as we go back to my room this time.

"Omg what was that about? It's like they are scared of something!" Betty yells
"Or someone? Abby and Archie could have done anything to threaten them, this could be a simple if you tell I'll do something?"
"Yeah that sounds about right."
"It's.... strange." I say.
I start thinking about all the possible scenarios before hearing, "Jug! Hellllooooo! Jug!"
"Oh hey sorry! Deep thought!"
"Looks it. Anyway I was thinking we haven't had a first date or any date yet?"
"Okay, Betty Cooper, will you go on a date with me tonight?"
"Well of course! I have to go and get ready then!"
She gave me a kiss and ran out back to her room.
