Baby project: a bughead story

Day before Prom

Jughead POV
Betty likes me and I like her but I'm taking Abby to the Prom. How much more screwed up can this situation get?
I want to take Betty and I feel like talking to her yesterday hearing how she was alone, I want to take her but Veronica and the other girls said I should wait. I need to talk to them, I don't want to bring Abby I want to bring Betty.

J-can we talk?
V-course at Diltons bunker?
J-meet you there.

I get on my motorcycle and headed to Diltons Bunker and saw Veronica waiting inside.
"I want to take Betty! Not Abby V!"
"Then take Betty you've waited long enough! Jug she's unhappy and lonely she need her Juggie!"
"Really I can!"
"It's not my decision it's yours but you could make it a surprise, dump Abby then we'll have Betty ready to meet you at the centre of the dance floor completely unknown to what's happening, all us girls and Kangs can be in on it!"
"Perfect, I have to go then and dump Abby, it sounds mean but I was kinda getting sick of her being completely dim in the head and thing the world is revolving all around her!"
"Good luck!" She shouts through as I leave.

I go back in my motorcycle and drive to the Wrym where I find Toni and Abby arguing, this makes dumping her easier!
"Ugh stay away from me you poor trash!" Abby squeals and then spots me and hangs her arms on my neck.
I peel her arms off me and say to her, "you don't come in here and disrespect my friends then jump on me, Abby were done!"
"Unbelievable! Is this because of THAT BETTY!"
"As a matter of fact yes it is, please leave!"
"She's gonna get it! Just you wait Jones!"
"Don't let the door hit you on the way out!" Toni shouts, "I feel that you weren't breaking up with her just for my sake, what's really happening?"
I explain them explain to them all the plan for me and Betty to get together then I realise, we're basically siblings, i need to talk to dad.

"Dad! Dad! You here!"
"Boy, quit shouting what do you need?"
"I need to ask, if me and Betty...." I start to whisper, "we're to date and be together would it be weird?"
"Well your not blood so I don't see and issue,"
(In this story chic or Charles doesn't happen so there is no sibling between them)
"Okay thanks dad,"
"Wait boy! Are you and Betty a thing?"
"No not now but just for future reference,"
I leave to go pick up a tux but before I go in the store I see Abby with a guy, wow talk about having a back up.

I then text Veronica to tell her to give Betty a letter I wrote to her before the prom.
Dear Betty,
I have liked you for quite some time. I look at you and my face brightens up,
Meet me at the centre of the hall,
Yours,
Secret admirer
xx
Veronica collected it and said that she'll give it to Betty, and she looked really excited, to be honest I was too, I might finally get the girl I've been waiting for so long.

I text Archie to meet me at pops we had a dinner planned so I headed there after Veronica.

I sat in a booth waiting for Archie who then came a few mins late.
"Nothing like making a late entrance Arch!"
"I had to finish something before hand, I've bought  Veronica something I'm going to give her at Prom, it's a necklace with a picture of us inside."
"Just when you couldn't get any more cuter!"
We both laugh and order dinner.
"So Toni informed me earlier of a certain plan in place for a bughead relationship to begin....."
"Yeah I dumped Abby and she's already got another guy and I want to be with Betty, I mean we're not going to be doing long distance because the four of us are all going to the same college. But unfortunately Toni, Cheryl, Kevin and Fangs will all be going Columbia so we are all still a bit separated."
"That sucks but Columbia isn't too far we can always visit. But I'm excited for bughead to finally happen! After all that drama at the start, it'll be good for you both."
Pop gives us our food and we enjoy our evening.

I go to bed with a smile on my face nervous and excited for tomorrow.
