Baby project: a bughead story

How i feel

Betty POV
It's been another week since I told Jughead about the baby.
Reggie is coming today with mine and V's stuff to move into the pembrooke.

"Reg says he'll be here in a minute." V says
"Well we've re decorated the pembrooke now and all we need is our stuff and we are done!" I say

"Ladies! ladies! I'm here!" I hear reg say
"Heyyyy Reggie!" V says running into his arms
"Hey Ronnie!" He says and gives her a kiss, "hey Betty! How are things with you jug and your bun in the oven?"
"Erm well me and jug are talking, not dating, and the baby is good we have a scan in a couple of weeks, i found out in further along then I thought, eight weeks."
"Damn soon there will be a bump! What are you doing with money? Me and Ronnie could always help you know, you should relax!"
"No reg I won't take your money or yours V! I need to provide for this baby on my own. I appreciate the help and offer though."
"Okay B." V says

I get my stuff moved into a spare room and then head to pops for a shift.  I see jug in there already, I put in my outfit that I just got and went over to him.

"Nice outfit, you look great!" Jug says
I blush, ugh stop Betty! "Thanks so what do you want today?"
"I actually have a drink but I wanted to tell you I'm leaving later tonight to go back to Yale."
"Your what? What about the scan?"
"I'll try and make it back in time but I do need to focus on my studies, I hope you can understand."
"I do. Just be back in 3 weeks please! It's really important for me!"
"I will now go wait tables I'll say bye later!" He says

I go and start my job, but feel a sense of sadness that jug won't be here, I really thought we'd get back together soon as well that's the thing. I want to get back with Jughead, and he's leaving tonight!

Jughead POV
I leave the diner, upset. I don't want to leave Betty, pregnant Betty also. I want to be with her but she said we probably won't get back together.

I hope for us in the future yet. Maybe we'll be together, maybe not. I hope so.

I drive back and pack my bag up again. Then I decide to meet up with my dad at the Wrym, haven't been here in a while.

"Hey dad!"
"Jughead boy, what you doing here?"
"Just here to hang out before I go back to Yale."
"Ah you goin back today! Well come there's someone here to see you!"

Who could it be?

"Hey boss!"Someone says from behind
"SweetPea!?"
"Hey! How you doing? What you doing here?"
"Visiting and I'm good! Where's Josie?"
"She's with her mum now but we came for a brief visit before leaving again to London,"
"Oh wow your life is exciting!"
"How are you and Betty?" He says smirking
I look down, "we er broke up a few weeks ago."
"Oh man I'm sorry, why?"
"Er things were said, my ex kept on lying and we just broke it off, then only a week ago I found out she's pregnant with my kid."
"WHAT! Oh man wow! Congrats! The future serpant king or queen is coming!"
"Huh that's true!"

We have a good long talk.

Betty POV
I'm just about to go off my shift when a familiar face comes into pops
"Betty!?"
"Josie!?"

She runs over and gives me a hug and we sit in a booth.
"What you doing here?" I ask
"Visiting before me and Sweets go to London tomorrow, how about you? What about you and Jughead?" She says
"Yeah, um so we broke up a couple of weeks ago, and two weeks ago I found out I was pregnant with his baby!"
"OMG GIRL! CONGRATS! Okay so I need to give you my new number because I need daily updates!"
We exchange new phone numbers and she says, "so you getting back together?"
"Because of the baby? At first I didn't want to, and he's continuing yale, me Reggie and Veronica dropped out and is staying here. But now I want to be with him."
"Then go tell him, and where is Veronica and Reggie I need to say hi,"
"I would but he's leaving like.... now."
"Go! Go!"
"Okay! I will! Thanks Josie! Veronica and reg should be at the pembrooke!" I say hugging her and running out.

I drive as fast as I could to get to my house.

Jughead POV
After me and sweets talk I head back to the house where i say my goodbyes, but Betty isn't here and I need to leave.
"Jug I could give her a message?" Alice says
"No it's okay, I'll probably see her in a few weeks thank though."
"We'll be safe." My dad says.

I get on my motorcycle and drive of.

Betty POV

I see his motorcycle leave the outside of my house, I'm too late. I drive on the side where my mum sands there.
"Betty! You didn't say goodbye!" My mum yells
"I wanted to! I was running late!"
"Well go after him!" Fp yells
"I won't catch onto him." I say, now tears in my eyes
"Wait... where you going to?" My mum says
"Going to do what?" Fp says
"I was showing to tell him how I feel." Is all I say before going back into my car and going back, to my new home.
