Baby project: a bughead story

Jughead POV
I've been sitting here for an hour and nothing new. Betty is still out but all our friends are here and I guess our parents are now here
"Betty! Where's my Betty?" I hear Alice say
"Jug!" My dad says spotting me, "what happened?"
"We were all together and then Betty feels some pain in her stomach and passes out. She haven't woken yet and I can't be with her."
"Oh my Betty!" Alice says crying
"Ms Cooper ?" A doctor says
"Yes."
"Could you come with me please, are you her father?" A doctor asks pointing at my dad
"He's with me and the kid." Alice says and they eventually allow me in

We follow the doctor to a room with Betty in, laying in the bed.
"Is she okay?" I ask
"She's okay. What caused this could have been one of two, too much work stress and not taking the antibiotics given to her for the infection she has. The infection sometimes when not treated could cause certain pains not exactly in the stomach, in the bladder, that's the pain she could have felt. I understand she put off taking them to prevent any of them from affecting the baby, but she has to take them now, is she wants no effect." Doctor price explains
"Wait, did she know about the infection?" I ask
"Yes, for a couple of weeks now I did call her." Doctor price says
"Oh my Betty, please wake up!" Alice cries
"Where is she?" I hear a distressed voice call
"Excuse me ma'am, family only." The doctor says
"I'm her sister!"
"Polly, Polly thank god your here! Where's the twins?"
"They are with Veronica and Reggie, I can trust them, they've helped before, how's Betty?"
"She's not been taking her meds so she's passed out." I say sadly
"Oh Betty. I didn't know." Polly says crying

I leave after a while and just sit alone outside, thinking to myself, and tears in my eyes
"Hey jug." My dad says sitting next to me
"Hey dad. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Should I drop out, to help her and baby. I don't want a repeat."
"It's up to you, I won't mind either. It's what you want."
"I think I'm going to leave and get a job here. I want her and the baby to be safe."
"Then I support you Jughead. Jelly is in the waiting room, we didn't want to bring her in here and its late when we dragged her out of bed, maybe you could talk to her, she's... been going through some things."
"Sure dad.... Let me know when Betty wakes up."
"I will."

I go to the waiting room where the gang is there waiting. Reg and v playing with the twins. Cheryl and Toni are playing with each others hair and Kev and fangs are with jelly talking
"Hey guys.... Betty is okay. She isn't awake but she'll be up soon."
"Oh thank god!" Veronica says
"Hey JB can we talk?"
"Okay jug." She says

She follows me to an empty area with seats
"Look we haven't talked in ages and I think you've been feeling, a little left out.... because of Betty and the baby."
She looks down
"Look don't worry I'm not mad, I just want to make time to spend time with you that's all."
"Really!" She says happy
"Let's start now, now your 14, any boyfriends I have to beat?"
"Not yet don't worry, me and Ricky are just friends."
"Ricky huh, he polite? Good?"
"Yeah, you might know his brother he's in the serpants, Joaquin."
"Oh yeah, he dated Kev, good guy. Now do you like Ricky?" I say smirking
"Uhhh no?" She lies
"JB I know when you lie, just tell him then?"
"I'm scared, he's like my best friend."
"But if you don't you'll never know."
"I guess. Thanks, I'll let you know if anything happens so you can give him the talk." She giggles
"Right, the talk that may involve threats."

We go back and she falls asleep on my shoulder and I stay awake, worried.

Polly POV
My mum and Fp have left to get food, Fp convinced her, she was just crying and crying. I stayed with Betty, by her side. I don't remember ever fainting with the twins, but I was at the sisters so it's different.

I should have been more there for Betty throughout this pregnancy. I was so busy with the twins we only got to call occasionally.

I'm living in Betty's room with my mum now but I should be getting my own apartment, and I do have some money stashed away from Jason and Cliffords will. I should maybe live closer to Betty, to help her.

I then get a call from my mum,
"Polly! Is Betty awake!?"
"No not yet mum, don't worry she will."
"I need to hurry, DRIVE FASTER Fp!"
"It's okay mum take your time I'm here!"
"Polly?!"a weak voice says
"Mum she's awake!"
"BETTY!? I'm coming!" And she hangs up

I run over to the bed where Betty lays, awake.
"Betty! I was so worried!"
"What happened? Is my baby okay?" She says in panic
"You fainted, your infection hurt your bladder. That's the pain you felt they've given you the medication now which shouldn't hurt your baby and yes your baby is fine!" I explain
"Oh thank god!" She says relieved
"Everyone is here and mum is on her way with food, she was bawling at your bed so she needed a bit away to calm a bit but I guess Fp is driving back and she is running far ahead to get here."
She laughs, "is jug here?"
"Yeah, oh and he was here when the doctor told us what happened and he didn't seem to know about the infection Betty, so after mum gets here you need to talk."
"Great."
"BETTY! OH BETTY NEVER LEAVE ME! I WONT EVER LEAVE YOU! And you Polly you too."
"It's okay mum."
