Baby project: a bughead story

Mantle baby

Jughead POV
*baby's cry* ugh! One night it's all I ask for. I get up, Betty did the previous hour that she cried we've got the full lodge family sleeping here.

I get  out of bed and walk over to her. We have another cot in our room next to us so that we can keep and eye on her whilst we sleep and the other one when she's older In her nursery.

"Hey baby. What's up?" I say picking her up and walking around with her.
"Wanna watch tv?" I say and we go to the living room and watch a bit of tv. She lays in my legs as we watch tv.

She calms down a bit and I move and lay her safely on the sofa watching the tv as I go and get some food.

I get some left overs from pops and come back to her laying and still watching tv.
I layback next to her and watch tv.

"Your lucky you only woke up me and not the lodges huh. They would not have liked that." I say to her
She makes a noise and I wonder where are the lodges?

They're bags and Veronicas stuff is gone.

J-hey reg where are you guys
R- DUDE IM A FATHER! SHE HAD THE BABY EARLY AND HE WAS BORN AN HOUR AGO COME MEET HIM!

She had the baby!!
J- I'll try get Betty up and we'll meet you there, CONGRATS!

I get up and pick Juliet up.
"Cmon, your auntie has had her baby. Let's go wake mummy."

I go to our room
"Betts. Betty!" I whisper shout for her to hear
"What jug!" She groans
"Veronica had the baby. Cmon we're going hospital."
"Wait really! LETS GO!" She jumps out of bed and rushes around getting changed.

"Baby this is what happens when your mummy gets very excited. Sometimes it's dangerous to be around." I say in a baby voice
"And baby to you want to whiteness your mummy wrestling your father to the ground?" Betty says in a baby voice
"No because it'll result in another baby, and you know it." I say in a baby voice
"Okay let's go!" Betty says
"I'm still not ready and you need to change jules."
"Oh okay, hurry I need to meet my nephew!!!" Betty yells

We start driving I've there and eventually get there and see Hiram and hermionie sitting outside m.

"Hey guys, how is she?" I ask
"Our mija is great." Hiram reply's
"And her baby boy is perfecto." Hermionie says
"Great." Betty reply's

"Guys come meet him!" Reg says

We walk in and see veronica in a hospital bed holding a small baby
"Hey guys meet Lucas mantle." Veronica says

"Awww he's so adorable." Betty says
"Hey look Juliet your best friend is right there." I say, "but not your boyfriend, remember that."

I bring Juliet over to see him. She's still a baby so she doesn't understand much but see down she does know.

"So v how was the labour?" Betty asks as she rocks Lucas
"It was really quick like a blur. One minute I'm in bed with reg and I feel my water break the next I'm in the ambulance then I have this little one in my arms."
"Well yours was a lot easier than mine with Juliet but it all had the same result, a cutie." Betty says

After me and Betty go home to see fangs and Kev at the door

"Did you not get our text, we said we wanted to hang out with Juliet and you guys?" Kev says annoyed
"Sorry but we have news." Betty says
"Okay tell me I need some goodness in my life!" Fangs says
"Hey what about me?" Kev says hitting his boyfriend
"Your the light and love of my life, stop interrupting and spill!"
"Veronica had her baby!" I say
"NO WAY WE FORGIVE YOU GUYS LETS GO!" Kev shouts
"Yeah choni is already there. Go go!" Betty tells them.
"Okay but next week or something can we all have a sleepover please!" Fangs begs
"Obviously!" Betty says

Then run along to the hospital whilst we clean up Juliet, she puked all over her outfit lucky we didn't get caught but she smells.

"Okay jug if you could heat up this milk I'm gonna head back to the hospital, do you want to come?"
"No I'm okay I'll let Juliet rest a bit, she's had a big morning."
"Okay call later." And Betty leaves

I turn the tv back on and heat up the milk as she lays in her rocking chair that helps get her to sleep.

I give her the milk then rock her to sleep.

I hear a knock at the door.

I go to open it to see Archie at the door, smiling.
"Hey man, wanna hang out?" He says
"I mean as long as you don't mind mess everywhere and me occasionally changing out a smelly nappy sure?" I say allowing him in
"Congrats man, she's beautiful. You and Betty are very lucky, where is Betty?" He says sitting down
"Oh yeah this morning Veronica had the baby, the whole gangs there at the hospital I stayed here I already met him, just so Juliet can rest."
"Wow I'll have to congratulate Veronica and reg, I think with the circumstances I won't visit now, I'm still on that whole trail to earn trust so I'll send a card and gift or something. But jug wow, to think back to last year or later, you were that brooding weirdo that not really anyone knew, minded your own business with your novel and now you work and a father."
"I know. Crazy. Lucky Betty's type is brooding weirdos. I forgot about my novel. With my mum and Betty and Juliet, I haven't had a sit down in ages."
"Well I'm here to help man and earn your trust again because I don't know what possessed me to be like that, I'll never stop apologising jug to all if you guys."
"Well if it helps I forgive you and miss my red-headed companion. Those road trips we took, all of it."
"Me too. Me too jug."

After a while of talking and catching up Juliet wakes up.

"Duty calls." I say picking her up, "hey jules, what's up? What do you want, do you want milk, I mean you had that. Nappy change?" I smell her, "nope all good, how about uncle Archie?" I say and I see Archie's head shoot up
"What really you trust me? Are you sure, you don't have to?"
"Nah go for it. What are you gonna do? I trust you man." I say and pass him Juliet

"Hey I'm your uncle Archie. You Like my hair huh, I can see you looking at it." He says to her in a small voice
"She likes you, she usually takes time with new people, your a lucky one Andrews." I say

Just at that moment the door opens and Betty comes in.

"Hey jug, hey Juliet........... what the hell?!" She yells
