Baby project: a bughead story

Veronicas parents

Betty POV
It's now been a couple of weeks and Juliet hasn't been so bad. I mean the constant screaming at night is a NIGHTMARE but other than that she's so cute. Her little sneezes her snoring. It's strange but I LOVE her little hiccups. That are too adorable

Jugs back at work in a month so we are making the most of it. And Veronicas induction date is coming close.

Her parents are coming to stay for the birth of their grandchild.

Also there's an agent posted outside as a doorman to help watch out for any intruders. With the help of Charles Abby and my dad should be caught in days. Charles is actually a really nice person, he's great with Juliet and he's working his hardest to be apart of a family he never had.

So we are now cleaning up, the Pembrooke has been not clean at all since Juliet and she's asleep now so we are cleaning up for her parents to come.

(In this Hiram is intimidating and powerful but is nicer then he actually is and so is Charles, he isn't a backstabbing-chic-loving- bit*h)

"Oh reg they're pulling up outside, everyone look presentable, I'm talking to the boys, Betty amazing as usual." V says straightening her dress hanging over her bump.
I laugh, "thanks v."
I fix Jugheads beanie on nicely and then there's a knock.

Reg goes and opens the door for them.

"Thank you Reginald." Her mother says
"Your welcome mrs lodge and mr lodge."
"Yes thanks reggie." Her dad says

They come in and their helper sets their bags down.
"Veronica!" Her mother beams and goes and hugs v
"Mija, you look good as always. Reggie, Veronica you have found a polite good young man." Her dad says hugging her and shaking reggie hand, "and who are you two again?"
"Oh Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones." I say and they both shake our hands
"Are you Veronicas friends?" Her mother asks
"The best daddy, they are my best friends, who are also engaged and have a baby born a couple of weeks ago."
"Ah! Congratulations!" Her mother says
"Veronica tells me that you two are who she wants to become, so you must be very good people and I respect that." Her dad says to us
"Well thank you v for that, so we should we head to the living room," I suggest
"Lead the way." Her mother says

We go to the living room but then I hear crying,
"Jug do you want to go or shall I?" I say as the others sit down."
"Il go you stay, he likes you already." Jug says going to Juliet

Jughead POV
I leave to find Juliet crying in her cot, I pick her up and walk around with her
"Hello Julie, you okay. Daddy's here. It's okay I'm here. I'm always here for you and mommy. I'll never leave okay. I pinky promise." I say playing with her fingers, which causes her to crack a small smile.
"Aw did you just smile, I love your smile."

As I turn I see Hiram in the doorway.
"Oh hey." I say
"Hey, I was on my way to bathroom, when I saw you and your daughter. I admire a man who will do anything for his family, I can see you would."
"Thank you sir." I reply
"Call me Hiram." He says shaking my spare hand.
"Thank you Hiram."
"Anyway I'll go. Also Veronica has told me that you have been there for her as well and reggie and Betty, thank you for that. Sometimes it's hard to get through to her so when she has friends like you guys, I get a good night sleep at night knowing she's safe."
"Well I will protect all my friends and family, especially my close ones consisting of reggie, Betty and Veronica." I say
"I respect any man like that. So uh I'll go." He says and leaves

That was a bit weird but I'm happy I'm not on his, 'when Veronicas not looking kill them' list.

I rock Juliet around a bit more but she won't go back to sleep. Plan B, I go to see if she's hungry for Betty. Betty's still nursing her until she's about 2 months old. We do give her some bottles but we try to mix it up a bit.

"Betty could I steal you for a bit." I say
"Yeah of course, one sec V."

She runs over and follows me to the nursery.
"What's up? How's my baby girl doing?" She says taking her.
"I think she's hungry."
"But I fed her before they came so this won't happen."
"I know she won't go back to sleep so she may be hungry, try it and I'll take your place with them."
"Wait I prepared a bottle before we could give her that so we can still be there for v and reg." Betty says
"Smart thinking Betts."

I run down to the kitchen to get the bottle then come back as she sits back down with Veronica and Reggie and the lodges.

"Here you go." I say
"Thanks jug." She reply's

I sit next to her and listen to the conversation trying to catch back up.

"Well Veronica we will be paying for the big wedding obviously, being our one and only." Her mother says
"Thanks you mom but it'll have to wait a bit, this baby will be taking up lot of time so we'll wait like Betty and jug are."
"Oh when are you getting married?" Hiram asks
"April 10th next year." Betty reply's
"Oh that's a lovely time of year." Her mother I think hermione says
"Yeah with the baby and getting jobs and providing the wedding will have to wait but we wanted to seal the idea with it before baby so I proposed a couple of weeks before baby came." I say
"Ah that makes sense, we'll you have a lovely family Jughead and Betty. I'm sure reggie you have a great job as a coach of a good team so making a family man of you won't be hard at all." Hiram says
"Thank you mr lodge." Reggie says tense
"Call me Hiram Reggie you stole my daughters heart, and you help and protect her, lose the formalities." Hiram says patting Reggie back

It's a pretty good afternoon. Her parents weren't to bad, they were pretty nice people.
