I was woken by the sound of voices outside of the bedroom door. It was Daniel and Harry. Harry sounded really angry making me pull my knees up to my chest, why I didn't understand because he didn't frighten me.
"So what if I got a bit rough with her she's my mate not yours," Harry growled.
"Harry she can't remember any of it and you nearly ripped her to shreds. As her mate you should be taking care of her not me, as you keep telling me she's yours not mine but I will not let you harm her. You know what she means to me, I mean to all of us so why did you do it?" Daniel sounded like he was in pain.
Harry huffed "what I do to her in there is none of your business." Pushing past Daniel he came into the bedroom not even looking at me. I could see Daniel lingering by the door. After putting down the bag he was carrying on the other side of the bed, Harry came round to my side and spoke softly "how are you my love?"
"I'm okay," I mumbled still a little sleepy. He reached for my neck and traced the mark.
"Looks good on you," he smiled leaning in for a soft kiss to my lips. Standing he walked back past Daniel "she's fine" was the last thing he said before making his way down the stairs. A low growl escaped Daniel's lips as I yawned, wincing as the left edge of my back pressed into the mattress. Daniel came into the room and over to the bedside table pulling open the drawer. I could hear him popping some pills from a packet before coming to help me sit up. Then he passed me the glass of water from the bedside table and some painkillers without speaking a single word to me making me feel like I'd done something wrong.
"Have I done something wrong?" I asked speaking my mind.
"No, no of course not" he forced a weak smile before sitting beside me. "You know what he did was wrong, right? Like marking you that's fine but the rest of it, it's not okay."
"Maybe he just likes it rough," I offered as an explanation.
He squeezed the bridge of his nose with two fingers, "forgetting the fact he nearly ripped you to shreds and left you without patching you up, I'm talking about the sex." Daniel took the water returning it to the bedside table, "you passed out so he shouldn't have carried on."
"Maybe he didn't notice," I was grasping at straws and I knew it.
"Amy," he sighed "I'm going out for some shopping do you want anything?"
I thought for a moment before asking "can you get me some chocolate?"
"Course," he smiled softly giving my hand a softer squeeze he then left. I felt like there was something else he wanted to say, something he was holding back.
