Shutting off the car I sat for a moment outside the gates with a smile on my face. I couldn't help it, the moment I'd felt that warmth in her I had overwhelming hope, but then the way she reacted to it. She was worried and rightly so for that moment I'd forgotten.
Getting out of the car I walked over to the gates only to find them already open. Panic struck through me, I had told them to keep it locked. Running through I spotted the two younger wolves that I'd left guarding the gate groaning as they lifted themselves shakily off the gravel driveway. "What happened?!"
The first to his feet groaned "there was...."
He didn't need to say, I could smell the wolves bane now. "Where is she?" I didn't wait for an answer as I rushed inside and up the stairs three at a time. "Amy!?" The room was silent, the house was silent. A growl erupted from deep inside me ending with a pained howl. I was back in the driveway in seconds "find the alpha!" I sniffed the air hoping to catch her scent but all that hung in the air was the overpowering smell of....wolves bane. "Follow the scent of wolves bane," I ordered pulling out my phone. Quickly I dialled Alistair, before he got a breath out I informed him "she's been taken."
"I have an idea where he'll take her, meet me in white hart street. If I'm right we will find her in time," the promise in his voice gave me enough hope to hang up and ring for back up. We would find her, we'd find them both.
