Daniel never was far from my thoughts as I scribbled in the margins of documents I had piled in front of me. Case reports would usually distract me from anything and everything but there seemed to be a fog of impending doom surrounding me. Hours had gone by when Bea came in carrying a tray of food and drinks. Before she came fully in the room she whispered something to who I assume was Daniel she then closed the door and grinned over at me. "Brought you my homemade cookies, bacon sandwich, coffee and water. Imagine you're hungry," she placed the tray down on the desk then perched on the desk right next to me holding a choc chip cookie.
"Thanks" I mumbled leaning back in the chair with a long sigh.
"Hey what's wrong?" She asked seeing my obvious frustration with something. "Come on you can tell me even if it's work related need to know." She handed me a cookie which were still warm.
"Well apart from the impending threat of murders work is fine," I took a bite of the cookie "god these are good."
"I know, so what is bothering you?" She pushed a little more.
I put the cookie down and stood up from the chair "what I tell you can't leave this room." She nodded putting her cookie free hand over her heart. "Okay," I leaned on the wall beside one of the bookshelves housing various werewolf lore and history texts. "To start I'm pretty sure Harry's cheating on me, but I'm afraid to confront him even though it seems like every knows by now and I don't know wether I love him anymore or just feel I have to be loyal to him because he's my mate and alpha. Then earlier Daniel wanted to talk to me about something and he got angry at me because he thinks I'd be better off without Harry and he wants me to be happy but I can't leave Harry. Then he kissed me and I didn't want him to stop so now I'm all confused and pretty sure Harry will know what happened and punish both of us for it." I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and hung my head.
Bea was staring at me, her eyes wide boring into my skull. Eventually when I dared to meet her gaze she was wide mouthed as well. "Amy, I have a few things to say in response to all that. First Daniel is right, however he better have enjoyed that kiss because Harry is definitely gonna be pissed at the pair of you." She walked over to me the cookie now gone and placed her hands on my shoulders. "Hun I'm so sorry Harry is treating you this way, our grandmother is going to be really angry with him for all this. So if you do choose to leave him I have got your back, and I'm a hundred percent sure the entire pack has got your back too." Bea's words comforted me and gave me confidence that whatever I did end up choosing to do I'd have their full support.
