Blackness morphed into the shape of a man, his eyes glowing red. The smoke holding my hands became his hands pulling me to my feet. We were enveloped by the smoke blocking Puck's and Alex's view. The smoke man smirked down at me, "I've been waiting along time to meet you." He bent his head low pressing a kiss to the back of my hand.
"I don't understand," I mumbled.
He chuckled "my dear I'm aware of the loss in translation ideas your world has about me, that I'm a dark force. To be fair that part is true but I will not be killing you or your mate. You are my key into this world," he explained all the while staring deeply into my eyes.
Shaking my head I stepped back into the wall of smoke, "I don't get what you want though."
Once again he chuckled "of course I should explain. You see my dear I need to bond to you, that is so my body will be permanent. Then as I no longer have interest in ruling your pathetic world, I will make misfortune for those that have wronged our kinds."
"But you are...?" I stammered confused.
"Well there is one thing, once I'm released from this primitive circle my dark power will also be released. A thousand years of darkness will cover this world and I won't be stopping it."
Between our feet the smoke began to be sucked away back from wherever it came from. The smoke man growled spotting Daniel chanting the very words Alex had been chanting but backwards. Alex had been cuffed and knocked out.
"No no no!" The smoke man growled "I will not be going back!" He reached through the edge of the circle taking the ring Alex had been wearing. Then lifting me up by the collar round my neck "finish releasing me or I kill her and your unborn child."
Daniel stopped chanting, "let her go."
"I will when I'm released," he smirked knowing he'd get what he wanted from Daniel. He chuckled as Daniel lowered the book, "that's it now release me or I kill her slowly starting here."
He jabbed at my stomach so on instinct I grabbed his smoky hand and let out my own growl, "you won't kill me you need me." Using my free hand I snatched the ring throwing it to Alistair who promptly caught it. Daniel started to chant again causing the smoke to drag back into the centre of the circle. I swung at the smoke man causing him to drop me and suck quicker back into the floor. As he did he grabbed my ankle I reached out and both Alistair and Daniel grabbed my hands. Back forth they all tugged till eventually the smoke man lost his grip and disappeared. Daniel pulled me into his arms, exhausted didn't even begin to describe how I felt how we all felt.
