"Yes prime minister, I do think moving forward with this vote could cause more harm. I know you believe the UK would be better off but the increase in attacks and the personal threats against agents including myself warrants a back track," this meeting had gone on for hours now. I was glad it was over the phone so Cameron couldn't see my facial expressions. Listening to him drivel on with no care for the supernatural communities was starting to get on my nerves. "Yes sir I am aware that the EU is supposed to work for its members but maybe you can go to them and suggest a better way to work so we don't have a vote." A few more back and forth and the meeting finally ended.
Placing my phone on the study desk I leaned back in the chair and let out a loud long sigh. No one had heard from Harry all day which I was glad about. I really wanted to believe him that he'd make things up to me but that seemed like an impossibility. "Ugh," I groaned trying to stand up. The pain in my leg was definitely a lot less than this morning but I still couldn't put much weight on it. Luckily Daniel had found some pain meds so I could wear the heels Harry wanted me to wear. He had protested the use of the pain killers but let me have them anyway.
While I'd been on the phone I'd at least managed to sort through more paperwork, organising my notes so others could read them if need be.
The door creaked open and Bea and Eugene stepped inside. Eugene carrying a bottle of fake tan and her make up bag, Bea had the hair styling bag. "How are you feeling?" Bea asked as her sister set up all her styling things. This was the kind of stuff I knew little about anyway so was glad in a way that orders had been given.
"Okay, leg is still a little sore otherwise I'm good" I lied. She knew I'd lied as she shook her head in disbelief.
"Are you alright if we get started?" Eugene asked in packing a few more things from her pockets.
"Yep go for it," I sat back down now glad I'd only put on some scrappy shorts as she started with gloves and fake tan up my legs.
"You know you don't have to do all this," Bea grumbled.
"Don't start, it'll be a nice night. I can talk properly to him. It'll be in public so I'll be fine," I reassured her as best I could.
"Yeah right, after what he did to you last night" that earned her a stern look from Eugene. "Oh come on seriously? Look I get that the bond thing is strong but he's gonna kill you. He might not mean it but he will." She says on the edge of the desk swinging her legs slightly "we are all really worried."
"I know but maybe tonight will change the way he's been." I sighed "I have to hope it does."
