Sat in the garden under the willow tree beside the small pond, I had finally stopped shaking. Bea brought me a cup of coffee and sat beside me on the bench. "It's decaf," she said looking out at the pond. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah...yeah I'm okay, I mean the pain in my chest isn't getting worse and I'm very glad you were all here when he turned up." I let myself chuckle "he scares me," the chuckle became tears. "I'm so so frightened of what he did to me."
Bea rubbed my upper arm "come on, not only will the pack protect you but you are way stronger than him."
"I know it's just the power he had over me...." I glanced back at the house seeing Alistair and Daniel watching over us. Taking a sip of the coffee I looked back at the pond. "So Felix said earlier you got Daniel and I a little job?"
"Oh yeah," she bumped me ready to cheer me up. "Well I had volunteered to babysit Callum and Courtney's two little ones this Saturday night forgetting..."
"Yeah right," I giggled.
"Well I did forget that I have a thing with Eugene and some other people. Anyway so I maybe kind of said you and Daniel would do it." She was grinning ear to ear. "It'll be good practice you know, for when you two..." she bit her lower lip holding her tongue.
"Is it that obvious?" I rolled my eyes.
"Oh god yes, but obviously no rush with that right?" She cocked her head as I took a sip of coffee.
"Yeah we aren't gonna rush anything, after all we've got all the time in the world to figure that out." She nodded in agreement. "However it's so tempting to barrel ahead. I'm so stupid," I groaned mainly to myself.
"Uh no you are not, Harry definitely made it hard for you to get a proper moment with Daniel. You are not stupid," she squeezed my hand. "Daniel has loved you from afar for such a long time, if Harry had taken care of you properly he would have been satisfied, but now you both have this incredible chance. Makes me excited to find my own mate," she let out a small chuckle. I bummed her with my arm and the two of us laughed.
