Heading back into London Alistair drove straight to the base. I hadn't looked at my phone since this morning and still wasn't planning on looking. Harry had been calling me constantly and had even called Alistair who told him I was busy with the job and hung up quickly. He was only trying to protect me but I had a feeling it would come back to bite me. Taking the fastest route to the base, we didn't speak till he pulled into the parking bay.
"I know you don't want me to interfere but I want you to stay here tonight at least. Then in the morning if that prince of yours wants to be angry at someone it can be at me," Alistair was stern and I was too exhausted to argue. He helped me out of the car and down to the dorms.
"Dad?" I didn't often call Alistair dad except when I was tired and feeling really low.
"Yeah Cubby?" He asked taking me into my room to my bed.
"I sometimes miss being a kid," this earned me a chuckle from him.
He lifted me into bed and tucked me in, "well you were easier to carry then. Get some sleep?" He ruffled my hair then switching the light he left me alone to sleep.Muffled buzzing woke me from my light sleep. In a haze I climbed out of bed in search of my phone eventually finding it in my bag. Answering without checking who it was "h-hello?"
Daniel's voice was hushed and a little muffled "Amy listen carefully, don't come back to the pack house for a few days."
"Wait, why?" I grumbled rubbing my eyes.
He was silent for a few moments before saying "Harry's in a state. Stay safe" he hung up and due to being too sleepy I just lay back in bed and drifted off.
